It really is!!

All this AA talk made me finally just go and apply for the Citi AA Biz through the dummy booking...Approved! I'm onboard :)

I'm almost there and it's plain old fomo...just haven't pulled the trigger yet!

@amalone1013 - I have browned some ground beef and added canned tomatoes, rotel, pinto beans and Hormel chili no beans to it. It is simmering nicely on a back burner and my daughter has declared, oh you made chili - it's good! Now I also have Velveeta, fritos and sour cream and I could guess what to do next, but I will ask: do you just mix in some Velveeta when it is finished simmering? My plan is to garnish with fritos and sour cream. But this was the easiest chili I've ever produced - usually I'm chopping onions and peppers and finding spices and putting some work into it. And right now it's chili because that's what DD says it is and she's getting it for dinner!

Meanwhile DD used up all the sketchy bananas and made banana bread. My house smells delightful!

You can use points and cash to cover a reservation. Are you worried about 5/24 tho? Because you can each get two AA personals in 65 days. That’s 252,000 miles every 65 days.
Hmm, Idk, I keep asking myself the same thing about 5/24. I'll be under in June. I'd like to churn the CIP (or get CIP#2) but ulimately, I need points/cash for Disney and if I cannot use UR's for Disney, then I'm cashing UR's out. Why not just earn as many AA points as possible?!?

I'm always getting mail about redeeming my AA miles for magazine subscriptions...so there's that:rotfl2:
LOL I was just going to post that! Grab a magazine or newspaper for the flight, exciting stuff

Other than using them to buy an obscenely expensive annual Lounge membership, that seems to be about it. Basically any combination of car, flight, and hotel package for the best value.

Awesome! It seems that to see the best rates you do need to have AA Miles and probably one of their credit cards.

FYI: On the WDW Tips thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/DISchurners/comments/ai6lq0/dischurners_walt_disney_world_tips/ We actually have a real life experience by @trstno1 who has booked a Disney hotel VERY recently this way.
Yes - if you are not logged into your account, the useaamiles website displays a message stating that "AAdvantage Elite status members and co-branded credit card holders enjoy exclusive rates."

***Edit: I was awake all night, slept this AM, and was late responding. I see this was already answered.***

I may go under 5/24 if and when this train ride comes to an end. Until then I don’t want to wait months getting back under when I could be earning about 200,000 miles every month between SO and I. But every situation is different. I’m much more hardcore than most on here. I just fear the mailers will end soon I’m trying to get as many miles as possible.

Oh yeah, it's official, snowiest February on record, it's still snowing, and there are still 8 days left this month!

Right now there's more than an inch of snow, probably 2 inches covering everything. It's 32 degrees and weather says it's freezing rain falling, however right now it's invisible as nothing has been falling for the last hour or so.

It's supposed to keep on raining for most of the night and by this time tomorrow our temp will be 54. Up and down up and down, but I'll take it over your weather.

Almost everything closed here today.

Also keep checking the website for dh, sometimes appts. get cancelled and pop up randomly.
Got him moved up from end of May to beginning of April so far. Hopefully I have luck myself too - I will take off work for this! lol
I really wanted to use these AA miles to fly in first somewhere abroad, but I can’t resist Disney. And even DISNEYLAND hotels are there. I can’t wait to stay at the Grand Californian again. Idk if I want to hate you for telling me or love you for telling me. lol
I know, I'm like airline miles... or Disney... the pull is strong

Oh boy, I have the upgrade offer on my SPG Personal. I just paid the $95 AF but haven't gotten the free night cert yet. How does this offer affect that? Thoughts on if I should go for it? I'm over 5/24 so I'm currently only interested in biz cards, but this upgrade would get around that, hmmmm.

I need a new card asap! Met the MSR on my BBP way sooner than expected. Looking for a Biz card while I'm deciding if I'm going to upgrade my Bonvoy to the Brilliant, or something like that, I can't keep them straight. Worst names ever. Suggestions?

ETA: Don't want Chase, trying to get under 5/24. I have BBP, Amex everyday, SPG Biz

Meant to reply, and just saw a thread on Reddit today that reminded me about your question. If you take the upgrade, you’ll probably be refunded your $95 AF, charged the $450 AF, and I believe you should get the 50k FN cert in the next few weeks since you haven’t gotten the 35k FN cert yet.

I can't even keep track now - I think there's easily a dozen or more of us suddenly chasing AA Miles for Disney! Crazy!!! haha!

(And one person doing it for rental cars :P)

. . . and for my Costa Rica hotel . . . which appears to be "sold out" on UR/Expedia but does indeed have availability on Bookings.com/AA. Grrr!!

Oh thanks so much!!! I figured my question got buried and forgotten...heck I pretty much forgot with all this Citi AA talk. I appreciate you taking the time to respond. I think I am going to go for it.

Yup! Really you can add the velveeta whenever and it will melt down. When I do it in a crockpot I throw everything in at the same time and stir every so often. And you can garnish with sour cream or stir it in too, whatever you feel like! I hope you enjoy your chili ;)

ETA: I think the official recipe from my aunt was ~8oz of velveeta and ~8 oz of sour cream if stirred in, but that's one great thing about this recipe IMO is you can do however much or little that you want.

Guys I don't like Informed Delivery any more

Because I have a jury summons in the mail

:badpc::badpc::badpc::badpc::badpc:

You know, I've always wanted to do that! I finally got called about a year ago and was ready to go and I got a call the day before that it was cancelled. I was upset, lol.

If DL hotels are on there then we might need to get an AA card. Dh has been asking about going to DL for awhile now. He wants to pair it with our Japan trip, but we will already be gone for 3 weeks and I would want to do DL justice.

Can I blame it on these...:earsgirl::earsgirl::earsboy::earsboy: who need me for this...:teacher: (currently having science experiment fail)...and got a couple who are :cold: (sick) and trying to do lots of :laundy: and down to the wire with a couple of Disney trips for clients and feel like :badpc:

I so wish I could sit in a recliner in my basement looking up Disney stuff all day. #LifeGoals :cutie:
Best...answer...ever LOL

After some reflection i have determined I love you for telling me. I texted SO yesterday and asked him if I could get him a AA card and said we could use the miles to book the Grand Californian. He said I could do whatever was necessary if it meant he could stay there again lol
It’s good to be loved!
