I've had a dud of a couple days. It was 65 here on Thursday and by night was 20... which caused my sinuses to go bonkers. So yesterday I woke up with my ears draining and my throat sore. By the end of the day my throat was at 5 alarm five level. I have that today and a cough from the drainage. A lymph node near my throat is swollen hard like a walnut!

I had to go to HR Block for my tax appointment at 9 this morning. I knew it was going to be bad for us - the SALT change killed us and it is worse than we thought. Plus it turns out I'm missing two forms from Fidelity so I had to hold my return to wait for those but those will likely increase our tax bill more.

Had to buy a new microwave today too. Plus the closing documents on my DVC contract came yesterday so I just went ahead and sent the cashier's check - last contract it was a little while longer in between passing ROFR and the documents. Plus I paid the Hilton Amex bill from the Disney cruise that I accidentally charged instead of using the Arrival+ so I was out that money. I feel like we're hemorrhaging cash right now. Sigh.

Since I'm up from my nap and relatively lucid for awhile before more NyQuil I think I'll look at my spreadsheet and figure out how long it will take me to get back under 5/24. I've decided there's no other cards I want right now so I might as well. Will report back.

Weather here is the same way. I’m surprised I’m not sick. DH is down with the flu for the SECOND TIME in 6 weeks. He went to the doctor Thursday after I all but threatened to divorce him if he didn’t seek medical care. He tested positive for strain A and the nurse told him she had seen a lot of people getting it twice this season. So far I’ve managed to avoid it. Hoping that holds out.

I’m pretty sure that’s its 50,000 Marriott points a night..the SPG sign up bonus right now is 75,000 points....if you opened the person and business cards you’d have a minimum of 150,000 points
How much is it per night with cash. .... depending on the rate you may be better off opening the CSP....and cashing out the sign up bonus to put towards a cash rate

It's about $200/night so i'd prob be better off with the CSP because that would at least get us 3 nights vs the 1. Thanks!! that was very helpful.

I get the flu shot every year. That helps a little but not fool proof of course.
Everyone at work is sick and they have the most awful cough. My cough isn't like that, thank goodness. I get chronic ear infections which is ridiculous at my age. I'm going to break down and go to minute clinic in the morning if I'm still in this much pain. DH has a headache today which is very rare for him - that is how he knows he is having sinus problems.

Ahhh, I was looking at the United personal cards earlier but forgot to look at the Biz card.... I'm 4/24, DH is 3/24... will have to do some thinking.

I have the United biz on my radar too. Was going to go for the personal rather than the biz, but the biz has a much better SUB right now! Planning to get it for P2 once I’m close to MSR on my new SW biz. I think the deal ends sometime in March. Can’t remember if it’s middle or end of the month.

Just saw that the United biz deal ends 3/18. We’re planning to take United for our family Europe trip in June 2020. It will save us from having to mess with a positioning flight. We can just go straight out of Cincinnati rather than getting a separate flight to Newark or wherever.

I have Mickey Keds but they are so uncomfortable i rarely wear them. I wonder if they sell those ASICS locally so I could try them on...
Zappos is free shipping and returns.
ETA: actually amke sure that isn’t just for members of the rewards thing.

Is it subject to 5/24?

When I had mine applied to a res....it changed within a few minutes so reflect the certificate and showed a reduced number of points for the booking equal to the value of the certificate.

Ugh, thanks. I really don't want to call them again after spending over an hour on the phone with them today! Looks like I will have to, as I got an email that I cancelled my original package and those points are back in my account. No sign of the new certificate yet.
Oh wow! We are halfway thru summer at that point. Last day of school is 5/23.
So early! What day do they start school?

We're watching BILs dogs tonight... and I'm super pumped because they don't have to go in their kennel at night anymore and that means they can sleep with ussssss!!! :cool1: :rotfl2: Yes, I probably sound like a weirdo but they are cuddle monsters. Also, our family dog slept with me from age 12 until I went to college, and then whenever I was home from college until she passed away. I miss that feeling :sad1: ILs dogs will usually only stay with you so long before they get hot and leave.

I haven't had an electric blanket on my bed since the first winter I got dude 12 years ago. I hadn't intended to have him sleep on/in the bed but it was the only way to potty train him at night as a puppy. He'd actually wake me up when he needed to ago which was better than him going in his crate. Doxie's like to burrow so he's generally under the covers and in the winter he's a super snuggler. I turn the heat off in my room at night though, electric heat and it's too loud it wakes me up. When I was in NC and has gas I'd just turn it down at night. I'd turn the a/c down too so it'd be cooler. I can't fall asleep when I'm cold but will warm up once I'm asleep which is also when Dude comes in handy, I can pull him close or push him away :)

Our dog has a very nice, expensive bed. At night she sleeps with us (or tries to, valiantly... we often give in) & in the evening she naps on the couch with us. During the day she likes to nap on the floor... right next to the very nice, expensive bed

I am having a lot of trouble with sinus ache/pressure lately, too, and it stinks. I don't want to find out I have a sinus infection & end up on antibiotics. It seems like everyone I know has been sick this winter & that's usually not the case :(

We're supposed to get out around 5/30 every year, but last year we missed a bunch of school in the winter and they went to state volleyball so missed school for that. They ended up going to school until 6/6 and had a ton of early outs because the school has no A/C....

Good to know. My last Chase card was Jan 3 and DHs was Nov 15, and my Arrival just came today... maybe I'll try it for him at the end of the month or first of March

Haha. Last summer the ILs dogs got ticks :crazy2: It was pretty bad, so she threw out the dog bed. Only one really uses it, and not always - often, but she also sleeps on the couch, up on the bed during the day, with MIL at night, in the walk in shower... so when the dog bed went away she would just sit where it used to be and stare at us. We broke down and bought another (expensive) dog bed for when she feels like using it
