So, I spent a big chunk of last night trying to bring up the AA dummy booking offer of 60k/3k/$200 statement credit. Can only get the 40k/2k/$200 credit. Does anyone know if the higher offer is available on personal cards, or is that just for the biz card?
I think 40k/2k/$200 is the business offer too. The 60k comes from getting the 20k match.

I'm guessing the key words for WI were soda and bubbler! Any similarities there?
Soda in NYC too, but I have never heard the term "bubbler."

I realized a few years ago that I speak differently to known New Yorkers than I do to people of "unknown origin," because I know they are not going to understand what the heck I'm talking about in certain situations.

Just double checking before I submit---

I can self refer myself to an Amex Business card. (I'm looking at HHonors.) I use the American Express refer-a-friend and copy my referral into a new tab. Adding an AMEX business card doesn't affect my 5/24 for Chase.

Is that all correct?

I've earned the bonus on the Hilton Ascend a couple of years ago. Can I earn the bonus on the Aspire if I apply/upgrade?

TIA!

I love these kinds of things. It correctly nailed me as being from the Baton Rouge-New Orleans-Mobile area. Family raised in New Orleans and I was born there, but there's enough influences from the other two cities where I grew up to pick up on the other stuff.

I especially love this question:

What do you call a drive-through liquor store?

My culture shock after first leaving Mississippi as a teenager was finding out the vast majority of people would answer I have never heard of such a thing. We have no specific word for a drive-through liquor store because they were ALL drive-through, so no distinction was needed.
I put I had never heard of that before. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a drive thru liquor store lol. There were a couple others I put that for too. There were some answers I literally laughed out loud at.

Apparently, garage sale and highway were what gave me away on the dialect quiz. I will say that my areas were Wichita, Lincoln, and Some other place, but none are actually in the state I live in

Is the 65k AA/ $4k MSR the best offer for the AA Biz? All of this talk about asking to be matched is making me wonder if I need to be doing that too! Of course, after I figure out how to log in to my account. Having problems with that too!

CitiBiz Mailer Update:
IF anybody here has access to business mailers they weren't planning on using BUT didn't want to share because you'd have to share personal info...
I don't think we have anybody here sitting on extra biz mailers...but for what it's worth, I figured I'd point that out.

:scratchin Was this post really meant for me (because I posted a while back that I had a biz mailer I wasn't going to use)? I don't believe you think no one has a mailer...I think this was your sneaky way of getting me to share:P....I jest, I jest:joker:. But seriously, yes, I do have a biz mailer I can share. I had no plans to use it, but then started to think about it after everyone was all about the grAAvy train, so FOMO and all. But I'm an indecisive procrastinator (really not sure how I made it through life so far :rotfl:), so even if I got DH to sign up for a biz card now, by the time 90+ days rolls around for the next one, it'll be the end of June and the mailer I have will be expired (expires 4/30).

We'd only sign up for the biz cards as I want to stay under 5/24 to keep slots open for SW CPs in the future. I'm wondering if it's worth it for us to get on the train in this case, as I'm not sure how we'd get any additional biz mailers (unless somehow Citi keeps sending them to me...wishful thinking). I know I can get them on reddit, but I'm irrationally scared of reddit. Plus, I'm not cool enough right now to be invited to the churningmarketplace as I have 0 activity on reddit outside of dischurners, and even there I think I only have 2 posts. In the hopes of laying the foundation for me to join the churningmarketplace, I was finally brave enough to make my first r/churning post thanking someone for pointing out the new Amex offers today. I figured that was safe enough and I wouldn't get downvoted into oblivion for it, lol. Baby steps.

You're probably right! I need to let it go and recognize that it will be great no matter where we stay. With it being such a laid back trip, I can definitely see us utilizing the boat to DS.

I haven’t done POR but I was scared to do the internal bus at the moderates and I honestly found it to be fine. I’d rather that than a value. Even the last stop at CSR everyone got seats except one time. I feel like I’m always standing on the bus at values.

That dialect quiz was super accurate for me. Says I’m from the Houston area - I was born and raised 2 hours east of Houston.

Most distinctive answer: what do you call the small road parallel to the highway? Feeder road

That's funny, Houston is my least likely place! It was accurate for me with Providence. Most distinctive answer: What do you call the thing from which you might drink water in a school? A Bubbler!

If that's for wash, there's a similar form out east here too - warsh. :confused3
"I'm going home to do some warsh" the same as "I'm going to Warshington DC" (or Warshingden, for those of us that object to Ts in the middle of words )
yes! Also Norfolk is pronounced Nor-fork and Beatrice is Be-At-Triss, instead of Be-Uh-Triss

That's a pretty awesome savings! How many nights is the cruise?
5 night, a Castaway Cay double dip
Apparently, garage sale and highway were what gave me away on the dialect quiz. I will say that my areas were Wichita, Lincoln, and Some other place, but none are actually in the state I live in
I got Lincoln (yup that's me), then Omaha, then Wichita

Question on the Amex Lowe's offer. This is the offer I have saved:

"Get 10% back as a statement credit by using your enrolled Business Card on eligible purchases in-store at Lowe's or online at Lowes.com by 6/30/2019. Limit of $100 in total statement credits. See terms for exclusions."

So does this mean that anything I purchase from Lowes up to $1000 in purchases, even if they're separate purchases, I will get 10% back on? Can anyone confirm it works on separate purchases and it's up to $1000 in purchases, not $100 in purchases? I was reading the DGC thread and think I confused myself because they kept referring to $100 gift cards.

Also, I was waiting to use this because I usually buy some gardening stuff there in the spring, I could go ahead and buy some DGCs now and still get 10% back later?

Sorry if these are basic questions, it just seems almost too good to be true :goodvibes

Oh, and also I had my DH check while he was there, our Lowe's doesn't sell Kroger so no extra savings there unfortunately.

I went for a solo day at Epcot yesterday, and texted my DH that I may have to buy a jacket or sweatshirt because it was chilly! But I'm a born and bred Florida girl with thin skin, so I usually wear a jacket/long sleeves for anything under 80 :smooth:
Jacket or long sleeves for under 80 lol?! My motto is if it’s 50 I’m wearing shorts
