I’m not a big Swagbucks person but last week I bought a laptop at BBy for $300. I had the QR code and see 750 bonus points in my Swagbucks account. Shouldn’t I also get 300 points for the purchase, or do I just get the bonus?

I can get a $25 Walmart GC for 2200 SB. Is this a good/best redemption?

Just finished running the Enchanted 10k and back at the room in Kidani waiting for coffee to brew. I'm wiped out. I trained by running in the cold and snow, which of course is not helpful when it's 73° with a dew point of 71°. Yuck. But after this and the 5k yesterday, I am done. DW is doing the Fairy Tale Challenge, so she gets the half marathon tomorrow.

Congratulations! I struggle to run even a mile, lol. Good for you!

Trying to catch up :-)

I'm not even gonna go back and try to read the 200+ pages I'm likely behind. I've been MIA dealing w/ the Ex who dumped me (the long distance one that got me more intro running CCs). Anywho, despite him dumping me and starting to date someone local RIGHT AWAY, he called me last week (on Valentine's Day nonetheless) saying he was second guessing this and regretting this. It's been a lovely month for me, I've lost 18lbs (my ex-husband told me I need a burger, LOL). But I think I'm getting back on my path. So I think I'll try to be back in the group.

I'm trying to figure out a Spring Break for my kids. All the airfare is still $$$. Last year I scored some great flights last minute. So maybe I'll get lucky again this year. It feels weird to not be meeting a spend right now. But I think I'm going to try and hold out if I can and get under 5/24.

I'm hoping to meet my 30 transactions sooner than later and get my $750 bonus w/ Huntington. How fast do they normally post it?

He sounds like a peach  So sorry!

Ok. I think I’m going to buy a Casper mattress. :cloud9:

We have a casper. DH loves it. I hate it. Too firm for me, but I'm a belly sleeper.

The wave or the original?

I like firmer mattresses, my wife likes them softer. We’re both side sleepers. I felt the wave was a bit too firm. The original Casper is around that sweet spot that hopefully will work for both of us.

For me, T&N is just too mushy with absolutely no side support (I’ve slid off it a few times!), and I sink when sitting upright. My wife likes the T&N but hates me complaining about it.

We also tried a Saatva luxury firm. They describe it as hotel quality and about a 7 in firmness. No way! I felt like I was sleeping on the floor for the week we tried it. And I’m the one who likes firmer mattresses. Back it went!

I don’t really care for the science or engineering that makes a bed. They pointed out zoned construction that’s softer at the shoulders and firmer at the hips, breathability to keep the mattress cool, etc., but in the end I just care if it feels good or not. Also if I can get a good deal on the mattress.

ETA: Casper’s pillows are super comfortable. They also have a little nap version of their pillow that was developed for AA’s first class product and is now available for purchase. <— little tie in back to churning.

We have a Casper mattress that's about a year old - not the Wave, I thought that one was too firm, and we're happy with it, actually them. We have two twins because we have twin motorized platforms for adjusting the mattress angles (I didn't want to be forced to be at the same position as DH if I didn't want to, this way we have options, plus those things weigh a ton, they are a nightmare to move and a king sized one would be impossible). I was happy to find a showroom in Denver to go check it out, because I really dislike ordering big things that I can't see/touch in person. DH used to wake up with back pain for years, going to the chiropractor on a regular basis, and since we got the Casper he hasn't had back pain. I did order a cushy mattress pad off Amazon to put on top of the Casper because I like that pillowtop feeling. After a year, the mattress is starting to seem more soft, especially in the middle. That kind of makes me wonder about its longevity over the years but it's good enough so far.

We bought a sleep number two years ago----best decision ever :lovestruc Dh likes a really firm mattress and I like a soft one. We haven't had any back or hip pain at all since then.

Dh bought a Casper pillow in the summer. He really likes it but I'm going to hold out on ordering one for myself until I see how long it holds up. I love a pillow that I can sink into yet still feel support :-)

Sigh.

As of this morning, my Chase account activity now shows a new transaction from last week, same day I funded a PNC account with this CC (that earlier transaction already posted as a purchase a day or two after I did the funding). The new transaction reads: "PNCBANK NA ONLINE RETAIL - Personal - $2,000.00"

And my Chase balance is suddenly $2k less (although my credit limit doesn't reflect that update, hm). The funding has never shown up in my PNC account.
:badpc::badpc::badpc:

The points from the bonus are already pending - has Chase ever taken away a bonus before it posted? And am I safe to put this $2k into the savings account it was originally intended for? I guess if it counts as a refund, I'll be fine, although I'll plan to keep using the card to spend that $2k again.

This is not the same PNC account that is in limbo (where the money posted to PNC but I can't transfer or spend it), but I wonder if they'll say anything about it when I call on Monday.

I’m not gonna lie....I have this huge urge to go to universal in the near future. The new hp coaster looks amazing and I didn’t realize it was opening so soon. We’ve also never done volcano bay so that would be on our list as well. I think if we went down for universal we would also do Busch gardens. Their new coaster looks amazing too. It would be so hard to go down and not do Disney though

I can't get my wife on board with flying in November so we're probably looking at Great Wolf Lodge... BUT my idea would be a quick Universal trip. With URs and our CSR it would be amazing...FREE rental car...FREE on site hotel...FREE tickets...(FREE flights via my SW RR stash)...We pay like $300 for food and have an awesome long weekend in Florida! I don't think I'm winning this one though, lol!

We may or may not have to make a trip down in November lol.

I've been thinking about a quick long weekend trip to Universal with dh next January, staying onsite and using the SW CP to get there. We have a WDW trip planned for next March during youngest's spring break (first trip ever for ds's fiancee!).

How do people get to/from Universal for short trips? Uber?

The shop & earn credits at 32 days and should be 600 sb I believe.

And yes that works. I do Amazon or PayPal.

How many gift cards were you able to load? I've wondered how that works and if there are issues. We may have to do an Airbnb for part of our Costa Rica trip if I can't get the rooms I want on UR (or the AA site now that I might actually use those points to fly).
We loaded 4 different gcs and also had a $40 credit from someone’s blog

We took an Lyft xl (had lots of luggage) from RPR to MCO just this week. It cost $34 and worked out perfectly. A regular Lyft was even less around $20

I would probably pay for a lyft

We've always ubered. $20ish for an UberX from MCO with no surge pricing.

Congrats! The Princess Half-Marathon is on my calendar for next year.

Which brings me to the bad news that DVC took the AKV resale contract that I had bid on. While I was waiting to hear, I had decided that if Disney did take it, I would submit a bid on another contract. But I am more unhappy with Disney than I had expected I would be about what is totally a business decision on their part -- but I find myself now rethinking the whole DVC thing. The bed configurations of the DVC units has been the sticking point (I have four adult kids, including 3 sons over 6 feet, so sharing beds is pretty much not happening).

@striker1064 I am curious, is anyone sleeping on the fold-out bed? I'm assuming you're in a studio at Kidani? (Now just typing "Kidani" makes me want to go look at DVC resale contracts. I am a mess.)

We almost always have someone sleeping on the couch and on the pull-out at Kidani (and at BLT). Our 6'1" 25yo son has never complained about the chair. His feet do hang off the end because he likes to scoot down when sleeping

Yep, we Ubered over from the Contemporary after closing down MK at EMH. I think it was about a $40 ride? If you have a bigger group you may want to price compare getting Uber XL with a car service via the front desk. We had trouble getting a big enough Uber for 6 adults plus luggage from Royal Pacific to MCO but the front desk were able to get us a big van for a reasonable cost.

DH actually wanted a Sleep Number and we went to the store in the mall several times to check them out, and I didn't like how it felt for me, I felt like it was supportive in the wrong spots even with adjusting the number. So funny how it's such a personal thing. Our Caspers ended up costing about 1/3 of the Sleep Number mattress I could tolerate in the store. I got an actual phone call last week from the Sleep Number salesperson that we worked with last year, wanting to let me know of some new promotions they had going on...I've never gotten that kind of call before. She was disappointed to learn we bought Casper lol.

Pillows, well there's a whole 'nother topic! Still struggling with that one...

Just wanted to add a DP for people going to Universal. We upgraded to an AP. I bought my tix on Chase portal. Instead of doing to buy2 get 2 promo deal I just did a regular 4 day tix knowing the savings of 1.5 redemption would be a better value come time to upgrade. We did the 3 park seasonal pass for $29 more a person. I was able to charge the upgrade to my room (staying at RPR) and therefore erased the purchase with our arrival + bonus points. Also we upgrade at a guest service location in Jurassic world. It’s kind of confusing because the sign says “vacation club” or something and there are people pushing time shares. But there is also a sign about upgrading a ticket to include water parks and a desk with regular staff person. He was super helpful. No line it took about 15 minutes to put it all in. We also got the 15 month pass promo and there was some talk if this applied to upgrades but it did. You can also upgrade at the hotels but the girl there quoted me a higher rate I think she thought I had the promo ticket so I went with the park but that can work too.
