I am grateful that I do not have side effects from the patch, knock on wood. DD has eye issues when she wears it though.

Same here. I won't take it to the parks; I just don't ride those rides. But I've used it on 4 cruises and only once felt "off" and it was a very rough evening with lots of people not feeling well.

All those Viking ocean cruises look so interesting to me!

Me, too. I'm constantly looking at their website. The dealbreaker for me right now is that we can't add DD to any cabin and we want to let her join us when she can. It's already so expensive that there's no way we could book 2 rooms. So I'm still sailing DCL for now, but Viking is something I'm seriously considering for the future. They have fabulous itineraries.

Thank you
Yes and Yes!
Thank you!
Yes, DH can have his own SW card account even if he’s an AU on your account, and yes you can receive a bonus for supporting him to his own SW card even if he’s an AU on your card.

However, to qualify for Chase’s cards, your DH needs to be “under 5/24,” i.e., his credit report needs to show that he’s opened less than 5 credit cards in the past 24 months. If your card account on which DH is an AU is less than 24 months old, and you added him in the past two years, that counts as a new card account that adds to the number of cards he’s opened in the past 24 months. I don’t know if he has any other cards or AUs opened or added in the past 24 months that would make him ineligible for a Chase card under the 5/24 rule.

Also, are you aware of Chase’s restrictions on personal SW cards? That is, an applicant is ineligible for a bonus on a personal SW card if they currently have a personal SW card open (an AU doesn’t count), or if they received a signup bonus on a personal SW card in the past 24 months.

Thanks! He will still be well under the 5/24 rule.

Yes expires today! Need to get by today too

Loved this Safeway deal!
I did the deal 3 times and collected 4800 points and then added a $50 gift card for olive garden, cheddars etc and got up to 5200 points. That's 5 fill ups and I'll use 2 of them in the next couple of days. If I'm not able to fill 5 times, I'll do free groceries with the rest before they expire, but I'm probably going to burn the gas in October - busy month.

First I think you will get a one-time discount from the Post Office when you do the address change.

Then you could look for grocery deals on Happy Guy gift card (the ones that have Home Depot as an option). Giant Foods around the middle eastern states had 10x fuel rewards recently on Happy Guy GCs.

Congratulation on the NEW HOME!!!
@NewbieMom Check Raise and Cardpool. We bought Home Depot GCs there when we were remodeling. I gave them to the contractors for specific purchases.

I can confirm the address change discount. Dh and I each changed our addresses when we moved so we got two discounts for Home Depot and two for Lowe’s.
Wow! I was unaware of this! Of course I have lived in the same house for 32 years...

We are planning to move in a couple when DD & her DH have kids. We bought this house when we got married from the in-laws. It was a private transaction so I have never bought or sold a house using a real estate agent, bank, etc. It will all be new to me!

I cannot lie...I am so very excited about our Viking cruise in Feb/Mar of next year. I'm afraid it will ruin me for other cruises but we'll see. 😁
Which are you doing? Some friends (well, they're also dh's clients lol) are on a 3 week Med cruise right now. They used to cruise Celebrity but haven't looked back since trying Viking several years ago. They started with the river cruises and quickly added ocean ones. I am so jealous lol

Anyone have experience with Citi cash advance limits? Have searched my account and can’t find any info except it says if your account is new, limited to $500. Was trying to make sure the limit was low enough not to trigger a cash advance when funding a bank account. Usually it’s a percent/portion of your credit limit but I can’t find it. Probably Citi being Citi.

We're doing a 15 day from Sydney to Auckland. I've never been to either Australia nor NZ so it will be a great experience :)

I don't have a business and don't intend to start one just for the purpose of churning (at least not yet), so no business cards for now.
I understand this and felt the same way for a long time, but the lure of those 80,000 UR plus 20,000 referral points for the CIP got to me. Made my business reseling clothes on ebay and DH's selling used books. Hang around here long enough and you may change your mind.

Are Viking cruises expensive? I’ve never even looked at them before

Yes. When I price it out it makes DCL look like a bargain. That's why we haven't jumped over there. Yet...
Yes, not as expensive as Regent Seven Seas but we're in the 2nd lowest category and our cabin is more than ANY cruise just DH and I have sailed with DCL, including a 1 br suite on the Magic 2 years ago in Europe.
Very expensive but almost everything is included, all the rooms have balconies (I need one--claustrophobic), and each port has an included excursion (some are very good, others are not). And they go to some really interesting places, too! Plus, no kids lol

DH and I need a balcony, too, for similar reasons. The spa on the Viking ships looks much better than the Rainforest Room and it's included. I also like the fact that it's not a huge ship with 5,000 passengers, but it's their destinations that really make me want to try it. :)

I'm back!!!!

DH and I (and family) are back from our week in WDW. And man, did we have a GREAT trip!! Honestly, this may be my favorite trip that I've ever taken. We had a great time from beginning to end with no issues all the way through.

We left Richmond last Saturday at 11:30 AM on SW. Our flight was so early getting into MCO that the pilot was actually worried they wouldn't have a gate ready for us when we landed, but we didn't end up having any problems. We only had about a 10 minute wait for DME and Pop ended up being the first stop for us. We had to leave our bags with the bell hop as our rooms weren't ready, which was fine since we were just heading to Disney Springs. We were in Disney Springs by 2:45 that afternoon!

I won't give all the details since we're all well-versed, but just in case anyone is wondering about our schedule:

Saturday- Disney Springs, dinner at Homecoming.
Sunday- MK all day with MNSSHP that night. Ate at BOG for lunch and Columbia Harbor House for dinner. Even though we we didn't rope drop, we still got on SDMT first thing with only about a 15 minute wait.
Monday- HS in the morning, hopped to Epcot for lunch at Teppan Edo and dinner at various F&W booths. SWGE was amazing and I was in heaven. Single rider on Smugglers Run was great and got us through there in less than 5 minutes.
Tuesday- AK. Rode FOP twice with FPs :) Dinner at Yak and Yeti.
Wednesday- Breakfast at Boma, back to MK. Dinner at Cali Grill, back to MK for HEA.
Thursday- Epcot in the AM, more F&W snacks for lunch. Hopped to HS. Ale & Compass for Dinner, then back to HS for Fantasmic and Star Wars fireworks.
Friday- EMH at HS for more SWGE. Hopped to AK for another ride on Everest and FOP. Hopped to Epcot for dinner at Chefs de France. Walked around World Showcase for a while again afterwards.

Highlights: Homecomin (why is it SO good?!), Cali Grill, SWGE, F&W. We ate a ton of stuff at F&W and really enjoyed it!
Lowlights: Ale and Compass (worst and slowest service I've ever had at a Disney restaurant), Chefs de France, crowds at MNSSHP.

This really was a truly fantastic trip and even our lowlights were not a big deal. DH and I both agreed we were glad we did MNSSHP because everyone enjoyed the show, parade, and fireworks. However, the crowds were ABSURD. It was significantly more crowded for the party than it had been in the park all day. We didn't ride anything other than Haunted Mansion and didn't trick or treat at all.

Crowds were definitely higher this week than they have been the last couple weeks based on what I saw in wait times. However, with proper planning we still never had long waits for anything. Transportation was great all week and we never had an issue with any buses whatsoever. We joked that our longest wait all week was the mobile order for our dinner at Columbia Harbor House lol.

Thank you SOOOO much for everyone who helped me take this trip by sharing all of our advice!! It truly was magical and we had a wonderful time. Our families really enjoyed it and get along great. DH, BIL, and I were on our own for about an hour at F&W last night and were laughing so hard walking around that I'm sure everybody thought we were wasted, but we were just genuinely having a great time!!

ETA: another highlight was meeting Joy and Sadness. My BIL bought the Rainbow Unicorn backpack in the park and carried it in there. We were also wearing our "this is a core memory day" t-shirts. They were so excited about our shirts and his backpack that we spent several minutes with them. Joy started motioning to one of the CMs and made it clear that she wanted to sign the backpack! So Joy and Sadness both signed the sides of his backpack, which he was thrilled about. Then Sadness wanted to hold it for the picture, so that was adorable.

Glad you all had fun. I love joy amd sadness. And that backpack, every time I saw it in a store or on twitter I want it but I'd never use it so I just can't justify it. Also wish they had more inside out stuff than just her.
