Second part of MDD completed. They did ask if I wanted to consider any additional income. Told them No. and instant approval with $23000 cL.
Thankyou so much for the help. Now to meet those spends.
This is true. I read somewhere that being continually exposed to chicken pox after you had them (in the days when everyone got them as a child) acted like a booster to immunity helping to reduce the chances of shingles. I don't know how true that is, but it makes some sense in the light of less chicken pox/more shingles happening.See I don't want to get going on the pros/cons here of current medicine but the shingles are now prevalent in a way that was unheard back in the day when people just caught chickenpox 'in the wild' and usually as children. I know people in their teens getting shingles now.![]()

Remind me...
AF posted for CSR yesterday and statement closes today. I have until when to spend the $300 TC (which should be reset tomorrow) and downgrade? I can't decide between Freedom and FU. I have a Freedom already and we just hit the max quarterly on it with a few weeks to spare, though I could have tried harder.
And, how does that work, I should book a refundable SW ticket, wait until it credits and when should I cancel that?
Are you using the daisy chain method where you only transfer between two cards with each group of points until they end up where you want them?Trying to consolidate all of our URs onto DHs CSR and keep getting errors![]()

They stack. Spend $500, that’ll qualify you for both the $500+ and $300+ offers, and you’ll get both $100 and $60 statement credits. Good deal!
I can see Universal again so all is well...This leads to the thought...Maybe everyone else in the world can see Disney resorts on the UR portal except us disboarders...joke’s on us!![]()
That has to be a computer glitch on Hyatt's end. Rates are like $225/night until Jun and then for Jun and July the $810 kicks in and other sites are running similar $800+ rates. ROFL. My suspicion is rates haven't been loaded into their system so the system is using the default maximum rate that you see listed on the hotel room doors. If this exceeds that rate Hyatt could get in serious trouble...Annual fee for the legacy Hyatt Card posted today. Paid the $75 fee and immediately used my free night cert to book the Hyatt House in Anaheim near Disneyland. Rates are currently an eye watering $810 a night. I know they will eventually come down but wow..insane value for the $75 fee.![]()
I am keeping 10k CL on 2 of dh's Chase cards currently for upgrading to DD the travel credit. I hope I can remember this when it comes time to get him a new card. I suspect though that I will have one of my typical blonde moments!Churning mistake for me this morning. All my reducing credit limits backfired. Only had $7500 on CSP so didn’t have the 10,000 needed to upgrade to CSR. I barely have enough on my other two personals, $2000 on Disney and $1000 on SW. She said you need $500 on there. So I could close one. I was all set to do that but then she could only move $1000 from my Disney because I had a credit on there from the upgrade. So she put in to move that, but I have to wait 7-10 days now before I can upgrade. I also could have requested a credit limit increase but that would have been an inquiry.
I was really hoping to get my cruise booked and maybe even get in on that drink special, but I guess I’ll just wait another week.
Personal anecdote - I got chicken pox as a kid. I grew up in the era of allowing your kids around other kids with chicken pox so they all get it and get it out of the way, because outside of having bad itches it's not that bad for most kids. Look, Mississippi was a weird place, ok? My understanding is this idea is still pretty pervasive despite it being a bad idea.
I got shingles as an adult a few years ago, in my late 20s. It was unpleasant and painful, but I think I got lucky. I hear it's worse if you never had chicken pox though. I remember keeping a distance from my dad because he never had chicken pox or shingles in his life, and was too hard-headed to go get the vaccine.
Congrats squared!! My dh is still sitting at 2 weeks. I lowered all his credit limits but we never get instant approval from chase so not really expecting that. However, his apps normally change to approved in about 12 hours so this feels like it’s taking forever![]()
Some more MBs came online! I was able to get all the bands for ILs and my mom!! They have the band I want but still don't have DHs![]()
