It was one month ago that I got approved for my CIP thanks to all you good people on this thread! You really are an amazingly kind and patient bunch and I just wanted to say thank you!

Also- I'll definitely meet the MSR before the three months have passed! Oops!

As long as you’re hitting that MSR via money you’d have spent anyways then no worries at all! I love when I hit MSRs early (usually by design since I time my applications around a strategy). One of the biggest pitfalls of churning is that some people (and not insinuating that this is you at all!) get caught up in achieving MSRs that they start to spend money that they would NOT have spent otherwise. If you aren’t doing that then be glad that you’ve met you’re MSR and move on to the next step/card

Do you have a long term strategy of which cards you’re planning to hit and when? Do you have a player 2 who is participating as well?

The WL line was right behind me. I was honestly wondering why they didn’t lump all of MK together considering WL usually pairs with CR. I wish I was at CR so I could have just walked. A family on my bus decided they did not want to so they stood for 30 minutes instead. Ok

They waited 30 minutes when they had the option to walk lol? Wow. Dh said we should’ve walked to WL in that 40 minutes but I don’t think there’s a path to walk that’s safe.

Just made $20 cleaning out some bins my adult son abandoned at my house years ago. Old books, games, papers and change strewn in the bottom. I've already counted and rolled it. The books I will check out on Amazon and see if they are worth listing for a few bucks. Been nagging him and he kept saying set it all at the curb for the trash, so today was the day. I also found pictures of myself with his father. Doubt he remembered them. I'll put them in one of the old albums and someday the kids will find them again, maybe.

Multi part Question about booking with Bonvoy.
I booked two rooms for 2 nights each for next June in Seattle before our cruise. They are the same dates, one room for us and 1 for MIL.
One room is completely booked on points. 2nd room is booked 1st night points advanced (need 17,000 pts), and 2nd night is cash.
I'm expecting my free night reward in April/May. Will it be difficult to apply it to the cash night? Should I book that room as 2 separate nights? Also am I able to link both reservations? Will it matter when we check in that they rooms are both booked under my name?

I think it will be difficult to apply to a cash night if all points rooms are already booked. Reports on here have been favorable to rebooking points advance rooms to certificate nights.

I would book the second night also as a points advance room. That may ensure that there is a points room available when you receive your certificate.

Your other questions I'm not sure about but as far as linking, I would talk to the actual hotel and ask them what can be done.

This worked for me. Deleted and re-enrolled my Amex card on Wed. Got the targeted activation button this morning!

I think foot traffic on the roads is discouraged. Don't think I've ever seen a walker at WDW on the access roads. Other than for marathons, that is.

I didn't use DHs Saks credit. Was going to do something Friday morning when we got off the cruise but didnt with everything else going on. Do I roll the dice and order something now if it's something I wouldn't have bought anyways? Or do their online orders take a few days to post?

I've been going through old pictures this summer, too. Getting each kid at least one album is at the top of my "Swedish death cleaning" plan. At this stage (young adult), none of them really care about pictures from their childhoods now but I envision that their future spouses and children might be interested.

It wasn’t my favorite either. I think mine’s a tie between 1 and 2, with 2 slightly coming out ahead. I love bullseye and Jessie. I’m the opposite about 3. I didn’t cry at all and actually that’s probably my least favorite toy story movie. I just didn’t like it very much since it’s mostly in the daycare.

I do agree that the new one relied on comedic moments. That’s why I didn’t like bunny and ducky because I thought everything they said was so “un-Disney”. They would fit better in the minions world of movies lol.

This was our first time at an amc theater and omg the ads! Our movie started late because of them showing so many ads! I’m not talking about previews I’m talking about ads for commercial things. We used to go to Marcus theaters and they have way less ads.

I've been working on mapping out a rough outline of future trips so that I can collect appropriate points. We want to do a land/sea in Nov 2020 but the price of a Disney Cruise is shocking me. We need two staterooms. Is there any savings for Disney Cruises? AA I'm assuming but Citi doesn't like us yet. Any other way?

Costco member? You can book through them or transfer to them and get about 8% of the pretax price back on a Costco gift card. If you are an executive member during your trip (you can upgrade just before) you get 2% back in your rewards for the year. You can still pay with Disney GCs too.

We've already stayed at POP so don't want to stay there. I did see Wilderness Lodge and I'm considering it. We wouldn't want to do AoA. I did find the Swan for $212 and Dolphin for $196. Are those good prices? We've never stayed there. Do they have park buses like the other hotels?

We were almost hotel buddies but I think it was a good thing you weren't at Swolphin because there was a youth talent competition and it was SWARMED. Last night at MK close the bus line was spilling out on the walkway! We've never seen anything like that there before, usually it is way less people than Disney resorts. The only time they are busy is park open and close.

So I have figured out it is only the friday night (7/5) that is the issue with the residence inn I am trying to book. The rest of nights are available on points. I am thinking I might split up the stay and not do a week since I'm not using the certificate. I can do wed/thurs nights points (35k total), fri cash (upgrade to most expensive room for total of $209 incl tax for $40 back from amex), and then another night or two on points (17,500-35k).
So can anyone verify the amex offers work if the total incl tax? I have redeemed them before, but for DH work trips, so I didn't pay that much attn to detail.

Alternatively I could do a hampton for 5 nights at 120k points. I'd just rather save those for something more exciting I think.

AmEx offers work on the amount charged to the card, so yes the tax and whatnot will count

4. Continue progress on CIP2 MSR.
5. Status match for Choice Hotels tomorrow to get gold status through 2020.
