I will jump on the Shark vs Dyson bandwagon LOL. We had the Dyson animal, I hated it. It was heavy and hard to maneuver. We have a Shark now, and we LOVE it! My son bought the same one when he moved out too.

I love my Shark. I had wanted a Dyson for quite awhile, but then started reading about how quality had started declining. Found the Shark at Costco and I've been very happy with it. I love that it can do carpet and hard floor, handles cat hair perfectly.

This is really weird. But I read a comment on DoC's website about a person who was in the same position as you (unless you're the same person posting on DoC!) where she was approved for a Barclay Biz card, but can't use it anywhere until she sends in documentation. Then she said, well, forget it then just close the card. And Barclays told her they still need the documentation to close the card! Sorry, that's of no help to you, but just wanted to share that you're not the only person being treated this way.

This makes me nervous! I have my shiny new Aviator Biz ready to pay a medical bill when it comes in :(

I was just messing around on CreditKarma and noticed that P1 and P2 have inquiries from Citi (on Equifax) and Barclays (on Transunion). I thought these inquiries weren't supposed to show up on credit reports for biz cards. Did I understand that wrong?

One of the reasons I keep my Costco membership is for basic electronics like vacuums -- if i need one, I just get whatever Costco has and avoid all of the anxiety of researching price vs. quality. I needed a printer last week; went to Costco and got their cheapest version. Same when we upgraded our TV.

agreed. I hope the FAA doesn't just give them approval either. Maybe after some more time, ill take one on Southwest to Hawaii, but not right now.

Considering the hearing the other day, the FAA isn't going to get away with it again and never should have let Boeing do what they did to start with. There's a reason for the FAA and they need to be doing their full job. Not saying it would have made a difference as this all happened outside the US and the congressman/senator (I can't remember which side the committee is in) eluded to the insufficient training of the pilots as part of the problem. But that doesn't excuse the FAA from letting Boeing basically pass their own plane.

You will still get inquires. You just won’t see accounts show up. Accounts are obviously what draws the eye of Chase so you’re in the clear there :) You do still want to try to limit your inquiries where possible but the offers you’re going after are definitely worth those hard pulls!

I have 2 Amex offers on the same card. Any experience if these would stack?

Hilton $50 off $250+
Waldorf & Conrad $100 off $500+ (Hilton brand)

Both require you to book direct on Hilton website (which is how you book Waldorf).

**Edited to add. Looks like the Hilton offer excludes Waldorf.

Since the Hilton one is for the Hilton brand and not the hotel group, as you mentioned, it wouldn't stack in this case. However, if you had one of the ones like "Hiltons in Mexico" and you booked a Waldorf or Conrad hotel in Mexico, then it would stack and you'd trigger both offers.

I've had at least 3 offers stack on one purchase before. I think it was a Staples type one, it was an offer for X back at Office Supply stores, X back on a Staples purchase and I think another extra MR points on a Staples purchase. Something like that. Each offer works in it's own silo so as long a transaction meets the terms for each offer, they will all trigger. Hope that makes sense :)

Got it. Thanks!

Is this true for sam’s Club as well? We aren’t Costco members

DH and I compromised that I could get 2 Dysons when we built our house almost 14 years ago since I wanted the whole house vacuum system that he didn't want to spend the $s on. They are both still going strong and I've never had any problems with them.
I think part of our problem is that we are family of 6, and 3 of the 6 have long hair (both my girls have hair down their backs). My first Dyson lasted 7 years (daily use) and then it died. I loved that vacuum so much which is why I continued to buy Dysons. My last two Dysons have each begun to have problems after the first 2 years. Both lemons? Maybe. My mom bought a Dyson 10 years ago and hers is still fine but it's just her and my stepdad and doesn't get near the abuse our vacuums do.

That's crazy, so that lady just got a free Dooney? Who says fraud doesn't pay

I'd be checking her eBay account to see if suddenly a Dooney goes up for sale remarkably similar to yours. But I suppose we should just be glad you're off the hook and let it go.

Got myself all worked up trying to get one of the Loews Certs on the Daily Getaways deal but missed them. Even with DH and I both trying.

This further cements my thinking that it was lots of pixie dust that I got one for our wedding trip, since that year was the first time I'd heard of those deals!

So Dh and I got roped into playing on a sand volleyball team. We only get to play for two weeks because we leave for Japan after that and we had our first set of games tonight. It was really fun but we’re terrible lol! Oh, and my arms look scary because they’re so bruised

I got roped into playing adult soccer when I was 40 by my DH. I had never played in my life. My only experience was watching my kids play. And I was never athletic growing up at all. It was a lot of fun, until it wasn't. lol At least I never had surgery from it like a few of our friends on our team, but I had a career ending injury about 4 years ago that STILL hurts!!! I think my leg will never be the same. Though I think the ones that had surgery are probably healed by now and I am not.

Wow, didn't she claim that the order was in error or something. Shouldn't she have to send it back?
