Got myself all worked up trying to get one of the Loews Certs on the Daily Getaways deal but missed them. Even with DH and I both trying.

This further cements my thinking that it was lots of pixie dust that I got one for our wedding trip, since that year was the first time I'd heard of those deals!
This is two years in a row I didn't get one, boo.

I just got this update from Paypal on my Dooney I sold that was disputed, where they gave me my funds back...Cannot believe her bank found in her favor.

Have you left her feedback? I would definitely be leaving her negative f/b so other buyers can be warned. I'd also block her. Even if she leaves retaliatory negative you can leave a comment to explain. Unbelievable that she scammed you like that. I really hate that e-bay lets buyers like that stay and even makes it easy for them to do so. Have you called e-bay to report her and have a "strike" put against her? They only allow so many strikes before she'll get the boot.

eBay years ago stopped letting sellers leave negative feedback for buyers....reporting her is a good idea...

Barclays is so strange. I reapplied for the Aviator Biz this week thinking that if I got approved I could use the plastiq offer to easily meet the spend. My last app was in March when they didn't pull my credit and denied me because I had "enough credit." So, I lowered my card limits last month in preparation for a future app. This time they didn't pull again so I called recon. Part of the reason they didn't pull was I applied too soon after the first app. Whoops. I thought since they didn't pull my credit the first time that it didn't matter. Rookie mistake I guess. So, the csr pulled my credit and then recommended me for approval with a 15k limit, but said I had to speak with someone else first. He gave me a ref# and put me on hold. The next csr mentions the March app (60k miles bonus) instead of the May one (75K miles). After some discussion about how I want the increased offer, she transfers me to someone else who says they have to pull my credit again. She also asked more questions about my income. After the credit pull, she recommends me for approval with a 5k limit, but then puts me on hold to speak with someone else. This last person was "security" who lists several documents that they need to verify my identity before final approval (license, social security card, utility bill). It's so strange that one person can give you a 15k limit and a few minutes later you get a 5k limit based on the same information. It's also strange that you can have two existing accounts with a company and then have to prove your identity on a new account.

I got roped into playing adult soccer when I was 40 by my DH. I had never played in my life. My only experience was watching my kids play. And I was never athletic growing up at all. It was a lot of fun, until it wasn't. lol At least I never had surgery from it like a few of our friends on our team, but I had a career ending injury about 4 years ago that STILL hurts!!! I think my leg will never be the same. Though I think the ones that had surgery are probably healed by now and I am not.
I played volleyball on my DH's adult league until I got pregnant with DS. DH still played and his team took bets on when I would have the baby. I am proud to say I got the day exactly correct and DS was 2 weeks early. Hectic, I had just started maternity leave and didn't have a single thing packed as we were rushing to the hospital. Poor DH had to make a trip home and leave us for a bit.

I knew I couldn't leave Feedback, didn't know I could report her. I should probably log on to Paypal and make double sure my money is still there :-)

Anyone in here do Global Entry? Wondering how long the decision process takes/if you did an interview. Did the online paperwork for myself and the wife on Monday. Was great to see the fees reversed immediately from the United Explorer credit. We both already have precheck but decided why not go for this as well since we had the credit.

My husband's app was conditionally approved/able to schedule the interview after two days. Mine took a week. Both of us had final approval within a day or two of our interview. It's just getting the interview scheduled that may be tricky - I ended up getting semi-last minute cancellation spots for our interviews.

The identity thing is weird, with Barclay's being the weirdest with it, but I'm wondering if there's a difference with before and after "know your customer" laws/regs came into effect. A theory could be that you were given credit before the latest crack down and now they need to dot the t's and cross the i's on new credit, even though they know you're you. At least that's my theory for why I had to send my DL to Discover to complete my IT card app, when I had been a customer for nearing 20 years with another card. Although Barclays takes it way far with what they ask for. But it's the only thing I can think of for why existing account holders who have passed identity checks still have to send in docs. But then others, like me, get instant approvals without a peep. Am I so transparent that they know me already from my application :confused3

Congrats on the approval, BTW. You had to go the hard way but 75k miles should be worth it :)

Applied 5 weeks ago for hubby, still in Pending Review. The final decision itself should at the interview or up to a day or two after. That part is quick. It's waiting to be approved for the interview and then scheduling the interview that usually takes the longest.

Is this true for sam’s Club as well? We aren’t Costco members

That's a good question -- I don't really know. When I was researching whether to get a Costco membership (which was 10+ years ago), I read multiple reports that Costco shoppers are generally a picky bunch and that Costco spends a good amount of resources finding the best value/quality combination for the products it sells. I'm not sure if Sam's is the same.

WOW.....I guess I was expecting something similar to the quick turn around on Pre-Check....I will not bother logging in and looking for updates for a while. Thanks!

It took about 4 days to be notified that we could schedule our interviews (6 of us). There was plenty availability at our major airport and we got an interview for a month later because that's when the kids will be out of school. Based on some of the others, maybe it depends on where they route the application to be reviewed? Seems so arbitrary that some get decided so quickly and some linger so long.

Did they email you? I only ask because when I finished the application it said to keep logging in to check for the next step. If I get an email I will just wait on it. Thanks for the feedback everyone!
