Is it bad to love Papa John's?? That's our fav pizza! We ordered recently from 'support your local pizza joint place' and 'pat yourself on the back for supporting local' and it was just yuck. Not good. The pizza was sad. Back to Papa John's for us.
I love papa Johns!

I always feel like the east coasters, other than @SouthFayetteFan (cause he's a part of it) wake up and are like, 'what the heck happened last night?' lol!?! We have no excuse other than we are just left unattended and it's not our fault :)
When I finally roll out of bed tomorrow at 9:30 I’m always like - how did all these comments already happen. Who is up at 6am??? LOL!

I like this too! Papa Murphys is right behind Papa Johns for me. But to be honest, when I pick up pizza, it's a special event in our house. The last thing I want to do is come home and bake it. They do offer more options in toppings though so that is a win.
It's close to a half hour drive home so if I want hot pizza I better turn on the oven!

Ok, I agree the pizza at local places here in VA are awful!! But have you ever had a local NY slice? I can’t even eat papa John’s.

Where are you getting the $1 pizza? We're going next weekend.

Editing - and have you had Whole Foods pizza? Yum!

You can get $1 pizza at like every other block in NY. I lived in queens so my local places were there but they are everywhere. Anywhere is good but 2 bros pizza is pretty famous and they have a bunch of locations.

I haven’t had Whole Foods pizza. I’ll try it tho.

Okay so I roll out before 9:30 lol. My boys have to be at school at 8 in the morning so I'll be up at 7. But it feels like a whole other 'crew'...the 'early morning' crew comes in and takes over. Sometimes, well a lot of the times, I am awake during the night so I post at like 4am with a whole other set of people. It's just the east coasters getting going. Kind of fun! And then @Lain posts and everyone flips out lol as to why he's up. I don't think he sleeps much either :)

pizza and bagels are a must when you go. I look forward to you amending your statement that papa John’s is good lol
Lol! I am not that married to Papa John's that I cannot find better. Just the best I have right now. And that isn't saying much. Occasionally I pop a frozen pizza in the oven and I am as pleased with that as PJ's. Pretty sad, right!?!

You’re just missing out. lol What local food do you have there that the rest of the country can’t make?

Meats like Bison are big here (which I love). A few places have more exotic like rattlesnake.

CO isn't a hot bed of unique, cultural cuisine. But we do have a large Hispanic population and most of our Mexican restaurants are more authentic. Bummer though, I grew up on and prefer, Tex-Mex.

I have never had bison or rattlesnake. I can’t imagine I would like it. It’s funny how where you grow up influences your taste buds. Tex-Mex though I could get behind.

I didn't grow up in CO so Bison (or buffalo) was a new meat to me but it's very common here so I ate it early on and I do like it. I love it really. But I love red meat and it's better than beef to me. I also learned to love venison here. I still haven't tried rattlesnake. I just can't lol. I've eaten squirrel and rabbit and other weird ones but for some reason rattlesnake just wigs me out.

I only like cow, chicken, and turkey. I have tried various forums of pig (bacon, sausage, pork chops) and I hate it lol I haven’t tried any of that other stuff, but I don’t think I would like it lol

Oh, I also tried duck and I didn’t like that either.

I don't like turkey. Way too 'gamey' tasting to me though people would never consider that gamey. Love pork but I'm always on the fence if pork is bad for us and we should avoid. I tried duck as well. Too greasy for me.

I actually love the 'meatless' meals I make (like tonight). I was a vegetarian for most of my college years and I could go back to that if I didn't have a meat-loving dh and I wasn't raising kids.

ETA: Chicken has to be cooked just right or I don't like it either...lol...I'm super picky with meat

Papa Johns taste like Cardboard to me...

dont hate... :P
I have never had Papa Johns or Little Caesar’s in my life. I’ve had Domino’s maybe once?

I frequent local places. Just had pizza tonight actually :) If I went for a mass chain, I would probably have to pick Pizza Hut. Although I haven’t had it in years.

100% great advice. Whenever people come visit my office from different states, they ask for local bagels to be brought in for breakfast. It’s a highlight of the business trip

The water is just unique in the Northeast and the products sadly can’t be replicated elsewhere. Kinda how Via Napoli in Disney imports it’s water to mimic water from Italy. Florida water just won’t give the same result.
