Thanks russct for the tip about catching a resort bus at DTD! We will be at SSR IN ONE WEEK!!! (I'm gonna go pack some more.....!)

Everything was great until we tried to leave Sunday at 10:00 AM. There was a 3 hour line to check in to Southwest and needless to say, we all missed our flights which snowballed into the next 24 HOURS shuffling from gate to gate trying to get on standby. We finally got home the next day about12:00 Noon. It was AWFUL but I was so glad to get home and Payton was a trooper!

Glad you had fun at SSR, it's good to hear something positive, my only question is " 3 hours for Southwest Airlines you had to wait" missed flight.
Yikes, that doesn't sound like them, we fly SWA all the time.

I know, we fly SWA all the time and have never had a problem. Like I said above, there were extraordinary circumstances. SWA handled it just OK. We will fly with them again, just probably never leave MCO on a Sunday again.

Glad to hear such nice things about SSR. We go there for our first trip "home" in December and I can hardly wait! We are going to stay at Pop in Sept, but we will have to take a ride over to check out SSR while there and show our family where our 2nd home is!

Great to see SSR getting good posts. It seems to be gaining many new fans - I cant wait to go back, the wife is going in January for the 1/2 marathon, but I may need to sneak in a golf trip this fall.

Good tip about the DTD resort busses! I'm waitlisted for VWL in June because friends are staying next door in FW but being able to easily get a bus over that way is a huge plus.
