My mom used to make a layered rainbow jello that had every other layer that was white. I think the white layer had sour cream or cream cheese in it. I loved it! I will have to ask her for the recipe.

My Grandmother used to make a lime jello mold with celery. I'm getting ill just thinking about it.

The strangest recipe I've seen with jello is one with pretzels and cream cheese. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

I don't think my husband will every eat jello again. Gastric bypass so pretty much broth and jello for a week. That's ok with me I alreay hated it for my own reasons.

I like the looks of this molded jello creation, but it seems like it would be an awful lot of trouble.

We have a family friend that makes this mold (with all the layers!) every year for Yom Kippur's break fast.

It takes her hours to create - but its so yummy!

Last year I found a Jello Margarita and Daiquiri mix at Walmart (there was also a pina colada, but if you can't see through your jello, it skeeves me). Came back from vacation on Sunday and saw the display up for this year, but it is all gone. I live in a town of drunks.

Some Orange Creamsicle/Dreamsicle recipes. These sound good and I think I'll try some out. I have never made jello shots but have enjoyed them many times.

Dreamsicle Jello Shots

1 package orange jell-o
1 cup hot water
1 cup vanilla liqueur

Mix hot water and jello. Add liqueur. Pour into 2 ounce glasses or cups. Serve after the jello has set.


Dreamsicle Jello Shots
2 (3 oz) package of Orange Jello
1 cup vanilla vodka
½ cup raspberry or berry vodka
½ cup KeKe Beach Key Lime Cream Liqueur
1 1/3 cups water
2/3 cups orange juice
Mix together water and orange juice and bring to a boil. Pour liquid over Jello, stirring until dissolved. Add vodkas and KeKe Beach, mixing well. Pour mixture into shot glasses or paper cups. Let set in refrigerator for at least 4 hours.


This one looked good too.

Caribbean Jello Shots
1 (3 oz) package of Strawberry-Banana Jello
1 cup boiling water
1 cup Cruzan Banana Rum
Bring water to a boil and remove from heat. Dissolve the Jello in boiling water, stirring at least 2 minutes until gelatin is dissolved. Add rum. Pour the mixture into shot glasses or paper cups. Let set in refrigerator at least 4 hours.

Oooppsss....sorry about that!

1 box orange jello
1 cup hot water
3/4 cup of french kiss - it's a vanilla liquor.

I buy these little plastic cups with lids from BJ's....alot of restuarants use them for tartar sauce and ketchup, this way I can make a whole bunch of them and stack them one on top of each other!

I've also made margarita ones..

1 box lime jello
1 cup hot water
1/2 cup tequilla (very strong)

You can also try....

1 box wildberry jello
1 cup hot water
1 cup chambord

or...

1 box strawberry jello
1 cup hot water
3/4 cup of malibu rum!

Can any of you tell that I make jello shots alot???? I can go on and on.....

I've also started making cherry bombs for our summer party...

1 wholesale size jar of maraschino cherries
1 pint of 151 rum
Pour the rum into the cherries and let sit in refrigerator for a couple days...the longer it sits...the stronger the cherries are!

Tried using paper dixie cups....they leak, because the jello doesn't set quick enough.

Also tried using plastic coated dixie cups...the plastic melts because the jello is so hot...it leaks too!

Jello molds are fine as long as there's not stuff inside the jello.
I could do a little whipped topping on top of my jello. But otherwise, I want it plain.
