OK OK, I know I know. I will probably be stuck by lightening for asking or even thining this. However... we are headed (driving from Maine) to WDW starting Wednesday. We go to Orlando every year, and usually visit WDW every other. This year, my 7 year old daughter ONLY wants to go to Animal Kingdom (EVEREST!) and my 4 year old (who was too sick to go last time) only wants to go to MK. Since my husband doesn't DO Disney, I will be going it alone. I prefer to take each kid one on one, as do they. They get all of Moms attention. SOOO to my question.... can i get a 2-3 day hopper pass for a child and use it between them? Will they be required to use the BIOMETRIC system?? Can I get away with it? It's soooo much cheaper to do it that way..

May the Mickey Gods forgive me... :worship:

Yes, they will be required to use the biometric system. No, you cannot get away with it.

My DD 5 was not told to use the biometric thing last year on any of the 10 days we were there. They just scanned her ticket and sent her through.

You really don't think the kids will change their minds about going to the other parks? How does the 4 yr old even know he won't like the other parks if he didn't go to them last time? :confused3

You're driving all the way from Maine (with a husband that doesn't even like WDW) and you're going to spend one day with each kid at the parks. Why even bother going? It takes longer to drive from Maine than the time you're spending in the parks. Or do you do the other stuff in Orlando the rest of the time?

i dunno, in december i had 3 out of 4 of my park entrances come up as "error" or "scan again" or whatever. all 3 days, the CM attendant just pressed some override button and said to go on in. that's a 100% good-to-go rate.

Same with my 7 & 8 year olds a couple weeks ago.

Thanks for the good vibes. I LOVE Blues Traveler. Saw them at Colby College in the EARLY 90's and with Phish and others in some summer traveling show a few years later. Now I do Disney, how times have changed...

As long as they don't have to use the biometric scanner than I would do it.

Did they start scanning kids fingers? They didn't when I was there in 2005.

We have rented a nice house the last few years and have found that the kids have enjoyed the private pool and jacuzzi, large playground, riding bikes and other non-disney things. If they don't ask, I don't bring it up. They have been many times in their short little lives. My 4 year old son would much rather play xbox, but he did say he would like to ride Buzz sometime. We also take a drive to the beach for a day. Have friends who live in the area come over for parties. And ITS WARM. If we just went down JUST to stay at the house, it would be worth it -- It's been in the single digits here in Maine for the last week and a half. Last year we went to Universal for a few days as well.

If my kids changed their mind, then I would CONSIDER upgrading. But, so far they are just excited to get out of this arctic weather and swim in the sweet pool.

Thanks for your concern though~

I dont see these rules under the "Guidelines for Posting" section. But staying on topic is a rule.

Yeah, I'm not sure why it isn't there. You can look on the first page of the resorts board for a similar post by a moderator who then locked the thread.

And back to the original topic-tickets are non-transferrable. Plain and simple. It doesn't matter how you try and reason it to be okay.

Your are correct- I just read the rules for posting and didn't find that anywhere... i don't know how i would have known that if i never go to the resorts board.

I didn't know there were so many Disney shareholders visiting the boards! ;0)

Have a great time in May!

Kids don't get to use the bioscan. DD, now 8 has never had to use one whether it was a park hopper or an AP.

Well now that I read further and saw that it may not be against the rules I will say - go for it. Kids don't get scanned and it's not like you are trying to get both kids in on one day...that I don't think I would agree with. You are paying for two days and using two days. Have fun!!! (BTW - I PM'ed you as well)
