I am taking my DD-14 princess: to the world for our first trip. We are on the meal plan so we wont be paying out of pocket for many meals. Any one have any advice of how much I should plan on spending? We will be there for 8 days. Thank You :wizard:

From my expeirance you won't be spending that much. My dh and i went on the dining plan last year and spent maybe 20 a day for breakfast at the most. We had planty of food for lucnh and dinner. The snack we ate in between which was enough. Maybe another 20 for drinks. All in all maybe 40 a day for breakfast and drinks. However for breakfast we ate small a pastry or something. Have a great time!!! :goodvibes

I anticipate spending cash each day on drinks. We are going to being breakfast from home (cereal bars, oatmeal, etc). But when you are in the parsk all day in the heat, you are always thirsty. I know that on these boards I have heard many ways to avoid having to buy drinks, like, places will give you a cup of ice free of charge and then you can fill up at water fountains.

As for souveniers - I always try to get an idea in my head before I go of what I can spend without putting myself in jeopardy once I get back! So I know I'll drop a lot of Christmas Ornaments and a few things here and there.

With a child - I'm sure it's a another story!

Good Luck!

For us the only added expense was breakfast. We packed breakfast bars for the adults and each morning DD got a mickey waffle and milk from the resort food court. That was about $7.00 per day OOP. We used the snack credits for water or ice cream for DD, CS credits for lunches and TS credits for dinner. For us that was plenty of food. So, over 9 days, we spent less than $75 OOP on food.
