We are planning a trip for Thanksgiving week of 08. if i go on and make a room reservation at pop now, and if a code comes out can i get that discount applied to my room? when do the discount codes for nov usually come out? i am new to looking for discount codes. ( i thought i did alot of research for our first 2 trips, but i dont remember seeing discount codes--guess i didnt do such a good job on my research) and sorry last question. i notice the discount for this nov is like $59 per night at a value resort. Is this common for nov?

In my opinion, I would reserve what you want now instead of waiting for discount codes to come out, just to make sure you get what you want. I just changed over from a AAA rate to AP this morning when the AP rates came out and there was no problem doing it. If I remember correctly I reserved the WL in Jan of this year for Feb of '08 and AAA did not come out until a few months back and now the AP rates. I just called the reservation line and had them apply the codes when they came out. I hope this helps. I think the AAA rates come out at around the 6 month mark. You are not stupid for asking, this is what this forum is for. If you don't ask you won't know.
