yep, he was a podcaster for the DIS. He passed away suddenly last week. They thought he had food poisoning. It's a shame he is gone, he was very funny. The butt of everyone's jokes but he took it all in stride.

Oh his real name is Bob, aka Wilderness (here on the DIS) but he was from Boston so he said his name as Bawb.

Ahhhh, yes the 1-3 grade hearing defect. We are in the midst of that as well. Don't worry it repairs itself and then flares up again in 6th grade.

OMG! isn't that the truth!!!! I've got it going 2 fold..and than the teenage daughter and 2 teenage stepsons.. I'm getting slapped from all 5 directions... well, 6 directions when DH decided to go stupid w/ all the other chaos!

Today I have the whiny boy from the swampy goo. He doesn't understand why you just can't call someone else and ask if you can come over to their house. Why do you have to wait for them to call you and ask you to come over?
Ugh. Need to go finish putting the groceries away and try to clean up the disaster area they made last night in their attempt to recreate World War I-complete with battle lines, no man's land, land mines and trenches. Don't ask.

That's a hard one for them to understand. I can remember explaining this several times to DD before she kinda understood. Not that understanding the concept made her feel any better about it.

My grouchy day from Wednesday is still going on.

Parents still haven't called me back.

DH went for a 2nd in-person interview with a place on Wed. Thursday, he got a generic "thanks, no thanks," email. 5 interviews including 2 lunches and they can't even muster up a phone call.

Thursday about 3 we lost our cable. So that means we lost tv, internet, and phone. DH lost his ability to work (no phone or internet) so he was afraid he would have to burn a vacation day. Luckily, he came down to the apartment's business center (also where I am to type this message) and work for a few hours and got permission to make up the rest of the time next week. Comcast is supposed to be here between 1-3, and I hope they can get it fixed. There was an incident in the area which is why we went down, but why we didn't come back online when the incident was resolved? Who knows?

I'm trying to remember if we ever got a phone call when DH was looking for a new job after his last company went Kaputt. And he lots of lunches & multiple interviews. Dang, one place kept him FIVE hours and still sent a stupid email rejection.

Ay!

We're finally back online. Apparently, someone from Comcast came over and disconnected our service yesterday. Which means that the tech who came and did the install didn't properly tag the line so they would know when service was started. Everything is fixed now but can't people please just do their job properly the first time!
