I am sitting here drinking coffee and reading the boards and all of a sudden I hear DS yelling,"Stop it! Leave me alone. I don't want you to pick me up." I thought DH was awake and picking him up. NOPE! He is yelling at his imaginary friend:laughing: DS then tells my IF is hitting him. I took IF by the "hand" and put him in the timeout spot.Apparently,my DS has a great imagination:rotfl:

I put him in timeout, but DS said he got right back out...I told DS that they needed to play nicely and he is now playing in the living room and reminding IF that we don't hit. It's cracking me up!

:rotfl2:

I should do that since my daughter's imaginary brothers (11 at last count) like to hang from the ceiling fan.

That's great!! My DS (3 in April) doesn't quite have an imaginary friend yet that he plays with but he blames everything on Georgie.

Did you just knock that off the table?

No, Georgie did it.

Do you have a stinky diaper?

No, Georgie does.

Have you ever watched Psychic Kids on A&E? Might be worth a few minutes of your time. One thing they mention regularly is how difficult it can be for parents to tell the difference between imaginary friends and spirits form the other side who are visiting the child.

My daughter had an imaginary turtle. her name was Sally. She talked about Sally all the time. One day she started talking about her 'brown friend". He was her new best friend, but he didnt have a name. She met him in school. Everyday she talked about him for a week. I was the first mom to pick up, so i knew all the kids in her daycare. The daycare did programs with the residents in my facility so I saw the children often. I felt I should tell the teachers about my daughter's new friend in case she spoke about him. the teachers laughed, apparently she did have a new"brown friend" - he was new to the school and was only there a few hour a day until he adjusted.

thanks for bringing back that memory and the smiles that go with it.

Maybe Georgie is the name of his butt.:lmao:

My DS has an imaginary wife. She is Miss Miss. She works at the same place I do and my DS works at the same place my DH works. They have 3 kids that go to daycare where my DS goes. Miss Miss was his girlfriend a few weeks ago. She used to be his imaginary friend, Pom's girlfriend. I told him you don't date your friend's Ex's. He told me Pom doesn't mind he has a new girlfriend and Miss Miss likes my DS better anyway:rotfl2: The other night Miss Miss went out with her friends and my DS didn't know when she would be home.

Actually, I watch it all the time! One of my hobbies is paranormal investigating(I'm part of the group WHAPS) but that is a whole other thread LOL!

DS has a couple of IFs. The one that he was referring to today actually stems from his cousin...Dnephew is the center of a custody battle and has to spend every other month with his dad. When he is not here, this IF shows up. We actually refer to him as Dnephew 2.0

There is another "set" of IFs that all appeared together and have only shown up once. DS informed DH and myself that he had 5! little boys that asked him to take care of them.We asked where they came from and he said outside. We told DS that he couldn't have "friends" over without asking and he had to tell them to go home...he said very seriously,"they don't want to go!" DH said to them IT IS TIME TO GO. DS has not spoken of them since.(That was the only CREEPY experiemce we have had with IFs)

Ah yes, those "friends" can be very naughty! DD's friend Lora was always getting into mischief. Who locked Sammy (our lab) in the bathroom? Lora! Who got into something that wasn't to be messed with? Lora! Meanwhile DD was a perfect little :littleangel: uh huh....Yes, little Lora was sent to bed quite often there for a while! :rotfl::rotfl:

OH,OH. Looks like he may have to look up an imaginary lawyer.:rolleyes1:rolleyes1

My DD likes to play with "Ghost Friend." Sometimes they play Barbies or Polly Pockets. But GF is usually the one who forgets to turn off the light in her bedroom or the bathroom, leaves the TV on in my bedroom (GF loves Hannah Montanna!) and forgets to flush the toilet. Occasionally, GF has gotten jewelry from my jewelry box or played in my make-up. If only GF would learn to do the laundry and dishes...!

Kids say the darnest things! One of my favorite lines came from my middle daughter. She was eating breakfast with her siblings and said..."I wish we could pick our imaginary friend, we just have to be happy with who we get". :rotfl:

It's funny. I usually go out with friends from work about once every 3 months and am usually in by 9 or 10 cause we just eat dinner and then see a movie. Apparently the last time I went out at the end of January must have made an impression.

DS's IF is named "Nobody". It took me a while to figure out "Nobody" was an IF. LOL I would ask DS if he wanted to do something and he would respond, "Nobody wants to!" It was something DS clearly wanted to do, so I was correcting his language usage.

"Nobody" started out a couple years younger than DS, but when DS went to Kindergarten he told us that "Nobody" was going also. My Mom asked him how "Nobody" could go to school if he was only 3. Without missing a beat DS replied, "He had a double birthday!" LOL

"Nobody" has also brought along a large family, including a grandma, mom, dad and siblings.

DS also has two villages of "people" living inside him. They do all the jobs that make his body function. They all have the same first name, Thomas (DS's first name) and different last names. Their leader is Thomas Ractorium (Rack Tor E Um). The village in one leg is "good people" and the other leg has the "bad people". Recently there was a murder and Thomas Ractorium was investigating. It is much more convoluted, but you get the picture. LOL

Oh boy I miss the days of the imaginary friend now that DS is a teen. His was Peter the alien and was blamed for everything he did that he shouldn't. lol Now that he is a teen when he does things he shouldn't and I ask why he just shrugs his shoulder and says he doesn't know why. I miss when he was little so enjoy it while you can.
