I just put my son's imaginary friend in timeout!

I am sitting here drinking coffee and reading the boards and all of a sudden I hear DS yelling,"Stop it! Leave me alone. I don't want you to pick me up." I thought DH was awake and picking him up. NOPE! He is yelling at his imaginary friend:laughing: DS then tells my IF is hitting him. I took IF by the "hand" and put him in the timeout spot.Apparently,my DS has a great imagination:rotfl:

Sounds like you both have a great imagination. Cute story! :thumbsup2

DS had two friends, Lion and Tiger. ONe day he was talking to someone new-Germ. I asked him who Germ was and he said "Oh, he's my new friend, I coughed him up the other day!"

That is so funny! :rotfl2: Reminds me of one of my favorite movies - Drop Dead Fred. If you havent seen it, rent it!

Wow - I missed out. Neither of my kids had an imaginary friend. They did have alter-egos though. My oldest only answered to "Santa" for about a year! He'd forget at times, but often we were corrected when we called him by his real name. I always got a kick out of the kid at church who was "Zorro." My youngest was a cat, and since he could only meow, he couldn't tell us his name!

So cute:rotfl:
I have a teenager so no we just deal with cyber friends.:scared1:

Thanks for sharing, it brought back some nice memories.

These stories are hilarious! I love to hear about other people's experiences with IFs. Like I said before, this IF showed up right about the time DNephew started traveling back and forth between parents...IF's name is actually my nephews, hence the 2.0 I tagged on. IF goes everywhere with us and I have had to even buckle him into the car, take his hand when crossing the street, carry him in a grocery store(that got some looks:lmao:) but the funniest was definitely yesterday! I NEVER thought I would have to punish a little one I couldn't see!

One day my DS was staring at the register at daycare. Why, because POM got stuck in the furnace. Don't worry. He got out finally.

That's great!! My DS (3 in April) doesn't quite have an imaginary friend yet that he plays with but he blames everything on Georgie.

Did you just knock that off the table?

No, Georgie did it.

Do you have a stinky diaper?

No, Georgie does.

That's funny, my DH's bad imaginary friend was named Georgie. My MIL always tells great stories about Georgie.

My DS's IF was Danny. It was also the name of his blankie.

:rotfl2:

I should do that since my daughter's imaginary brothers (11 at last count) like to hang from the ceiling fan.

Dang, that can really ruin your sheetrock :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Our kids didn't have imaginary "friends' but when DS17 was about 3 he kept talking about this guy that would sit in his room when he was going to bed at night :scared1:.
