I swear I will never fly another airline again. I'm going away in a month or so with some of my friends. Long story short, one of them called me to let me know the flights from PVD to MCO went down $50 RT! Hey, I can think of alot of things to do with that $50. Anyway, originally when I booked these 4 flights, I used some of another friends Ticketless Travel Funds that were expiring in May. I thought it would be a nightmare to cancel, thinking the TTF coming back to me would be those same ones. Nope. They reverted to the original flights for this trip that I booked in November. They happily credited my CC $200 total for 4 people, no problem:thumbsup2. I spent alot of time with them on the phone going over too many res. #'s and they were so patient! I worked up a sweat for nothing thinking this was going to be the biggest nightmare experience of my life seeing there were 4 different res. #'s with TTF's. Turned out to be the total opposite! Now all I need is to get on that plane and get to WDW!!party:

I agree, SWA is the best IMO! I've changed itineraries so many times and anytime I've had to call them, they were so patient and friendly! I LUV SWA!

I had something similar happen, but not with the same luck on the CC refund. I booked six tickets last Friday. Only three ended up being available at the $79 price, so I had to pay $142 each for the remaining three.

The next day, one seat was available at $79, so I called SW, they cancelled the three at $142, and I rebooked, with one at $79, and the other two at $142. I asked at that time if they could refund my credit card the difference and was told they could not.

This morning, $79 seats are again available, so I change my two tickets to the $79 seats. I am now sitting on $189 credit. I again called SW, and was told that I would have to wait after the flights took place, and mail a letter of explanation to SW along with the receipts, and they would see about crediting my card?

Does this sound right or should I call back and talk to someone else?

This would sure make it tough if you ever want to travel outside of the US!

You will get credited back to your credit card as long as you don't change the time or date of your flight(s). I've had similar price drops as you've experienced happen twice to me; had read on these boards to contact customer service and request credit to my card; first trip, the customer service person told me I had to mail off everything after the trip (which I did); 2nd trip, I called after the trip and they just credited back to my card without my mailing off anything. Guess it depends on the customer service person.

Yup,

I decided to call back and after getting transfered a couple of times, was told I would have to call back after the tickets were used. The woman I talked to this time did enter all of the notes into their system and gave me a case I.D. #.

She said I would just have to call with that #, and they would refund the card. That will work.
