If you've pre-booked your hotel a year in advance and your flights 7-8 months in advance, then no, 5 months is not sufficent.**"Typical Disney. Ignore the fact that people may actually want to plan a vacation more than a week or two before they come.**
How accurate is that statement ? Sounds to me like they've given guests 5 months to plan around BB closing. I'd imagine that for the majority, that's a fair amount of time.
Disney encourages early bookings. If they are going to encourage people to lay out cash early on, then they need to make these type of plans in the same time frame.
This is the problem with the Disney company right now, and the general attitude of Car 1 posters. If you want this to ruin your trip and hold it as a chip on your shoulder, that is YOUR choice. I don't think it is cool for you to run down the people that don't want to wallow in your disappointment.
This isn't your straw so you happily go buzzing along through your trips singing it's a small world after all.
But doesn't anyone see that the number of straws is piling up and it's only a matter of time until yours falls?
I'd ask this: What if you were in AMW's shoes....you've booked airfare (which is non-refundable) and made reservations. Then you see that the Magic Kingdom will be closed the week you're there for refurbishment.
Would you happily accept that and just keep humming IASM to Animal Kingdom?
AMW has every right to be upset. His straw fell. I pity many of the posters here who have yet to have their straw fall.
And Ohana I agree with you when it comes to the usual suspects. It just seems like there's been an influx of posters from other Disboards....who do not have such manners.
