I just got a letter from my lawyer

Ironically, the judge signed my divorce papers on Valentine's Day.

it's ok to mourn your marriage. but you should also look to the future.

:rockband: So where and what day in Sept. is the party?

Start the countdown, less than two months. Take care.

It's in my nature to try and figure out what went wrong, etc, etc. I'm always asking questions. My kids got their curiosity about life honestly.
I just don't want to make the same mistakes again. The biggest mistake is believing I was less than I am. That's a hard one for me. I was raised to be considerate of others at the expense of myself. I was told it was selfish to want or need.

Anyway, this is an adventure. It's scary for sure, but I wouldn't go back for anything.

Thank you all, and yes, I'll be ready for that party. Now if it could only be real with all of you. That would be a party!

Well, think of all the things that you have changed so far.

Think of the things you have done, and all the things you are going to do. I've seen you get stronger, since this whole process began.

Remember where you were, and think of how far you have come. And also remember how there are still things to do, goals to accomplish!

It will be fine, it really will

{Laurie} Another step in your journey.... Like Cindy said - Look how far you've come, girl! Wow!

:grouphug: :grouphug: you have had a HUGE summer of changes!! You and your DD both starting new lifes is scary and exciting at the same time!! Good luck to you:grouphug: :grouphug:

Laurie,
You can always go party with Floydian....;)

With your positive outlook on life and sunny personality, I am sure that the world is yours for the taking!:D

LOL, yeah I get sleepy with one wine cooler, some partier I'd be.

Hi hi!!!

Well, I'll say congratulations, because it sure sounds like the best result.

Besides, it's an adventure. You get to be yourself again. Or, you can become a new you if you want. Or, you can just become someone else for a while. You can do whatever you want!

I'm sure you'll do great! I'll bet you have a much better idea of who you are, what you want, and where you want to go in life than you did hen you were 19 or something. SO there's nothing to be worried about. Just live your life the way you want to live it, being the best you that you can be, and everything else will fall into place, whatever it is.

Although I have a bit of anxiety about not knowing...not having those plans in place for how the next year, 5 years, 25 years of my life might go, I also see an open road ahead of me. I'm sure there'll be some potholes, speedbumps, and detours along the way. But now I have the tools and the freedom to change course as needed, and continue moving towards whatever my destination might be.

Excellent! I wish someone had told me THAT years ago! That works for me!! ::yes::

The first time I went out as a newly single woman, I laughed all night. I realized that I hadn't laughed in ages!

Anyways, since then I am happy and met and married a wonderful man

Good Luck to you! !
