I just fell in the mall....

Nice to meet you fellow klutz's!

My most recent one happened in Apr when I walked into the building I work in. It had been raining and the bottom of my shoes were wet. Then those nice, wet soles (that normally have good traction) hit the highly-polished floor in the foyer, and I went down!! Landed on my knee and had some pretty deep bruising, but no lingering affects.

I did the same thing last night!
I was walking up the stairs at the mall and tripped and fell and spilled my drink all over the place. I was laughing at myself so hard because I am sure I looked like the uncoordinated dork I am:D
.

A 20 ounce drink spilled looks like a tidal wave that just keeps spreading. Glad to hear i'm not the only one to dump a soda on the floor at the mall.

Good thing I didn't get any on my shorts I exchanged or the chicken sandwich I had in the other hand...LOL.

I did a dummy move yesterday. DH had a big wooden post sticking out of the bed of his truck, and yes, I walked right into it! SMACK! I now have a nice bruise on my forehead and nose.

My husband once had a saw sticking out the back of his truck and ran into it with his arm. Had to have a few stitches.....smart man.....LOL.

I know how you felt.

I fell off a curb outside of our local Target a few weeks ago and landed on one knee. I tore up my knee and the slacks I was wearing. The worst part was the lady who came over to see if I was OK. Weird how such falls are so embarassing.

I'm glad that you're OK.

:earseek: That was you?!

Just kidding, glad you're ok.

Sure glad all of you are ok. It is so embarrassing when things like this happen.

I'm glad you all recovered or are recoving from your bumps and bruises. I'm sorry to say it but your stories had me LMAO. I've been there, too, though. I was having lunch with my boss and walked down one of those painted ramps and my feet slipped right out from under me. My boss was right behind me and he did a very good job of catching me. I still haven't lived that one down.

Don't feel bad, I fell on a homeless man just recently, coming out of Dean and Deluca. I fell right on top of him and spilled my coffee all over him. He yelled at me and called me a witch (but with a b!) and told me I deserved it for having fancy coffee.

Glad you weren't hurt, hillbeans (other than your pride, that is!) :)

Haha...You got bit by bad "fancy coffee" karma!

Oh my goodness, I am NOT alone! Yes, I can be a klutz but I've fallen when it truly wasn't my fault - dh jokes about it. I was in the grocery store once and was looking at the meat selection in the meat section and my front foot slid on juice from meat that was on the floor and my foot slipped forward under the cart and I went down on my other knee and was all skun up. I even had the sticky juice on my leg (gross!) I had NO intention of suing anyone but I was embarrassed, bleeding, and a little ticked. So I went to the coutesy booth and told them what happened and that I would like to speak to the manager. I told them then I wasn't holding them liable, just wanted to talk to him. It took forever for him to come up. I explained exactly what happened, but apparently the first lady I talked to had and he said, "Come show me where this is?" I took him there and there is an employee "straightening" the meat in the case and a VERY clean floor. The manager looked at me like, "Ok, show me now". I was TICKED. I wanted NOTHING from them but to make sure that they were more diligent about cleaning because if a 70 something year old person fell on that juice they could have broken a hip. But for them to stall me while they cleaned it up real fast.....I let the manager know that I knew what they had done, I didn't appreciate being talked to like I was trying to scam them (heck I had blood running down my leg) and he could put all the items in my buggy back because I would not spend a dime in their store again. He did offer me a bandaid but I turned him down. I told him I'd buy them at the drug store next door.

I was walking home from the train station after a nasty snow storm and thought I was doing so well, LOL. Well I guess I walked over some black ice while crossing the street and I fell right on my knees, I was wearing a skirt so it was painful AND cold! This car stops (as I'm trying to get up while still sliding on the ice) and the woman in the car asks me if I'm ok. I told her yes and then she offered me a ride home (about 4 blocks) I thanked her and refused and she said "you aren't worried about taking a ride from a stranger are you?" LOL, the thought did cross my mind! It turns out that I knew her kinda, she 's one of my neighbors. I took the ride from her because I was not looking forward to limping those 4 blocks.
