What is Diamond glaze? How do you use it? Where do you get it?

Has anyone used Souffle pens? Do you like them? Do you have any pics of stuff that you have used them one?

I've used the Crystal glaze. I used it for the eyes on Dopey, the inside part of the sign & gas pumps of Oscar's Garage. I don't have photo of Dopey, and I'm not sure you can see on Oscar's.

I used the Souffle pens on the Zebra on the Zoo Tag books Cover tags, so you can feel that for yourself.

I want to find those puff up inks... I'll have to find the name of them tomorrow... they are velvet something or other.. my mind won't work tonight.. besides I need to get back in w/ DS and make sure he is getting his homework done and that DS11 is studying for his pre-algebra test...

I like it!!! I think I will go back and get the pens. I had them in my hands twice and put them back.
Thanks!

Just remember, use them on a scrap sheet first. They need a rolling start. :rotfl:

Oh, what they have as black is really more a smokey grey when dried.

good tip, thanks!

I'm trying to expand my dimensions in scrapping. Everything is feeling very 1 dimensional to me lately.

Ok, where do you get this crystal glaze?

I got mine at Hobby Lobby with a coupon.
I've seen it at Archiver's also. It is either with the inks [Archivers] or with the adhesives[Hobby Lobby]. I've also seen in Diamond and Crackle. But I've not tried either of those.

I really like the souffle pens- I used some of them at CKC and finally got some others for Christmas. I also really like the glaze pens made by the same company.

Thanks AWM! This ban thing is really holding me back. ;)

Stupid question. . .what's a Souffle pen? Does it give it a more "puffy" texture? I would love that! :)

The souffle pen gives a puffy texture- a glaze pen makes it look like stained glass (shiny).

I got some souffle pens at HL several months ago on clearance and I really like them! Just be sure to give them some extra time to dry. And as AWM mentioned, scribble with it first on scrap paper to get the ink flowing. There is a little wax ball over the tip of the pen when you first open it. I've tried to save them to keep the ink from drying up. Just a tip ;)

OK, I have the souffle pens and they don't puff for me. I just used one yesterday and I got it going on a piece of scrap first, and even after writing "Happy Birthday Elizabeth" there was no puff. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Do you need to heat it?

Back on the wagon the rest of you!

I just got the new scrapbook catalog from Oriental Trader. On page 42 they have the 4 Ranger Inkssentials Accents, Crackle, Sepia, Glossy, & Matte. $4.96
There is also this huge thing called the "glue glider max", looks like a pack tape gun for thin sticky tape. $45.95 ouch!

Page 26 has some really neat looking monochromatic embellishments.

I just pulled that out of the box but haven't had time to read the magazine yet.. there is funny white stuff falling along w/ ice pellets..Oh yeah!

I saw those too. I think the Glue Glider Max must be a take on the ATG gun. They have a ton of brads that are soooo cute. And they had a nice pack of Bazzil. I am trying to resist.
