hot apple cider. Is it like apple juice, but hot? :scared: Sounds lovely.

List something common or popular that you have never in your life ate or drank.

I find it DELICIOUS. But, that could be me, and I am weird. What I do is let it brew a bit in a crock pot. You can mix in mulling spices, which can be purchased at most Grocery Stores. Most Hallmark stores also sell a really good home mulling spice kit. It tastes wonderful, and is great on those cold winter evenings. I grew up with it, and prefer it over Hot Chocolate any day.

Add a stick of cinnamon when you serve as well.

As far as something I would like to try for Christmas but never have... Fruit Cake. Just to say, "I ate Fruit Cake." You hear all these horror stories, but I have heard from other people that if it is prepared fresh, it is delicious. So who knows.

Not to me. I don't care for apple juice, but like the cider. Maybe, it's the cinnamon?

bavarian creme anything.

Hot apple cider is good...but I'm a hot chocolate freak! Love the stuff...drop a mint in it or stir it with a candy cane...:cloud9:

Something I haven't tried:
coffee-just never thought it looked good
grits-moved to the south 15 yrs ago...i just don't get it.
oysters-slimy=yuck

No. I have tried homeade and fresh. It is just plain nasty! :crazy2:

...sushi. And I have no desire.

Love grits...especially with butter and cheese. nom nom nom.

Sushi.... just the thought of raw fish...YUCK

Cavier.... fish eggs... YUCK

I :lovestruc hot apple cider, fruit cake, coffee, etc.

Hmmm....I have never tried duck. Or catfish.

I'm Mormon, so no alcohol, tea, or coffee for me. Not one drop. I remember an episode of the "Golden Girls" where Blanche made a comment about a Mormon schoolteacher and "the most dangerous thing to go through her system was Ovaltine". It always makes me laugh.

I seem to remember having it back in cub scouts.

But we went to a corn maze a few wees ago and it was very cold. I went to the store and got a stainless pot and a jug of cider and heated it right in the coals of the fire pit. Everybody loved it!

I am sure it could be prepared much better heheheheheee, maybe a little cinnamon.

I have had sushi..and it's yummy!
I've had caviar, but I didn't really care for it.
I've had grits--OMG SO NUMMY! :rotfl2:
I've also had Frankenmuth chicken, which if you've NEVER had this you've never lived! It is, by far, the BEST chicken I have ever eaten. I don't know what they put in it, but it's DELICIOUS.

I have never had scrapple..not even sure what it is, tbh.

Mussels are probably my most favorite food ever! Seriously, I love them and could eat them every day. We just had some last Sat. night. Fabulous!

What on earth is Frankenmuth chicken? I'm not a big chicken person at all. In fact, if I never ate it again for the rest of my life I'd be perfectly ok with that. I've had a bad experience with chicken about 15-years ago, it took me about 2-years to eat it again. Then about 3-years ago I ordered chicken strips at a pizza place and one of them was half cooked, another bad experience, but even aside from that, I just don't go crazy for it.

Good to know!:thumbsup2

I change my answer to Creme Brulee! LOL!

I've not tried Creme Brulee either. I keep thinking I will.
As for fruit cake, if you need a good door stop or paper weight, there's nothing better.:thumbsup2

Catfish is pretty popular here. I love it. We usually take our visitors from up north to eat at one of the several Catfish buffets. I've not tried duck either, but want to.

:lmao: I do  coffee, though.

Yummy, sushi. Cavier was just salty little nothings to me.

mussels and oysters are like chewing up flavored pencil erasers. You could chew forever and make no progress. :lmao:

Grits-I do remember some co-workers in from CT that were eating with us at Cracker Barrell, and they asked what a grit was. LOL. They wouldn't try them. But, I couldn't get our auditors from Montreal to try biscuits and gravy, either...

I do happen to be one of those people that will try almost any food one time. I refuse to try blood pudding, though. :scared: We had a friend that traveled to some country where they ate that. I would rather eat a bug.

I have heard of Frankenmuth chicken!! My hubby is from Michigan and I keep on begging him to take me to Frankenmuth.

I've never eaten veal in my entire life, and I never, ever will.

The very thought of it makes me so sad. :(

I never tried coffee - glad to see a previous poster say the same thing! Thought I got to be the only one, but glad to see I'm not! I hate drinking hot liquids (sensitive teeth) and I just don't like the smell of coffee, so I know I won't like it at all.

I also never tried alcohol. My mom came from a family of alcoholics, so I knew never to touch it, since genetics weren't on my side. I don't think I would have liked it anyways.
