I have an addiction to Chipotle Mexican Grill and it is putting a dent in the extra funds in the pocketbook, but the food is soooo good!!

Kelly and I are on a first name basis, after the last 2 month of eating lunch and/or dinner there. And it's not just the work week. DH has gone with me 6times on the weekends. And when Kelly is working, I don't even have to order. She just double checks if I am going with the burrito or the soft tacos, then she just makes my order.

Even though I already have meat out to put on the grill tonight, I sooo want to go and get a burrito, with a side of salsa, guac and chips. If I do, that would be 3 times since Saturday, that I have eaten there.

I do take comfort in the fact that it is one of the heathier "fast food" restraunts out there - I'm a good girl and go easy on the cheese and sour cream.

I guess I'll be a good girl tonight and just go with what I already have laid out for dinner. I'll make DH take me to Chipotles for lunch Thursday.

Wow you really do like that place! I've only been twice and I thought it was just okay. I make the same at home i think. The burritos are huge. I can't imagine eating there that often.

You might need some support group to help you out. Though I understand I have the same affection for Chick Fila but try not to feed the need but once a month.

Chipolte is one of the WORST fast food places out there!!!!!!!

Raising hand to confess to an addiction as well: Entemann's Devil's Food Cake with Marshmallow Icing.. I ate an entire cake last week and bought another one yesterday..

I've got it "covered' though.. For me it's strictly for "medicinal" purposes.. Doctors have ordered me to gain weight any way I can, so I'm taking full advantage until such time that I reach what they consider a "safe" weight..:rotfl:

My brother raves about Chiptole, I have never been there, what do you recommend?

P.S. I hope it is a heck of a lot better then Taco Bell....that place weirds me out.

LOL My addiction is Pandora beads - more expensive than Chipotle's or Entenmanns, but definitely healthier. :)

Fortunately for my wallet I don't work close enough to a Chipotle to walk there everyday for lunch. there are 2 in Downtown Minneapolis where I work, but I have too much work to do that I don't have the time to take to walk there and get my lunch from there.

And for anyone worried about the calories of a burrito from Chipotle... if you can finish 1 burrito by yourself, I at least am not hungry again until the next day after 1 burrito.

I suggest getting a Bol and chips, no salsa required, and eat the Burrito fixings with the chips. Plus you can more easily share the Bol eating it this way.

On a somewhat funnier side, when my wife was pregnant almost 4 years ago she craved mexican style food everyday, thus we ate at Chipotle about every-other-day. Oh that was so good!!!

Hmm...are you sure you aren't pregnant?? ;)

I really wish I had that as an excuess...the supply line to that factory was severed 11 years ago.

My two options are:

Burrito, Carnitas (pork), with a smaller scoop of rice, black beans, half a ladel of the tomatillo green chili salsa, with a small drizzel of sour cream and a very small amout of cheese. Once rolled, mine is about a half to a guarter size smaller than it would normally look, if they loaded everything on with full portions. DH doesn't skimp on this toppings and it is huge. It takes both hands to keep it from falling apart.

Tacos are the same, minus the rice and instead of one huge burrito to handle, there are three small tortillas to deal with.

DH likes the chicken, which I have tried and is orderable. There is just something about the pork that I really like.

I have yet to eat the whole thing in one sitting. I usually have a 1/3 of the thing left and I usually wrap it up and eat it the next day, along with the left over chips and salsa.

I keep saying that one of these times I'm just going to do a burrito bowl. I may have to try that.

Panera Breads is not healthy! Lots of calories and sodium!

Mine is Zaxby's Wings and Things....sigh

:sad2:

Wimps! :lmao: I admit I can finish a burrito and also guacomole.
I started getting the chicken fajita burrito bowl. Yummy!!!!
