I have a question please don't flame me

Does the Yacht Club have standard rooms that are smoking with a full balcony. We need a smoking room and won't smoke in the room with the kids so we need a full balcony to go out on. We won't book non-smoking and smoke on the balcony as it not fair to non-smoking people.
Can anyone help.

I don't have an answer to your question. I just wanted to say how considerate I thought you were for not even smoking on the balcony in a non-smoking room. Too bad more people aren't like you.

My guess is that they do. Tell them this special request when you book.

Reportedly all of the rooms at the YC have full balconys (or patios if on the 1st floor) so I'm sure that the smoking rooms will too.

I believe there actually are a few YC rooms that have no balcony at all, not even a 'standing room only' one.
Just make sure that your request for a full balcony is listed on your reservation.

If you want to verify that YC has smoking rooms with full balconies you could try calling them directly. Several web sites list their number as (407) 934-7000. Hopefully someone at that number could help you out. Once you have verified they have the type of room you need, be sure to have your preferences listed on your reservation: smoking room, full balcony, etc.

And thank you Shelby for being considerate of non-smokers! I wish everyone would follow your example. We had a bad experience at AKL with people smoking on the balconies of non-smoking rooms. At AKL you spend a lot of time on the balcony watching the animals and it's really spoils it when you have second-hand smoke wafting across your balcony.
