I have 25.5 pounds of candy from MTOT

Does anyone know if the gates at DCA will be open or do we have to go in the front?
Are the Photopass people at the meet and greets?
Thank you to those who posted pics and the map!
AR

The only gates that are open are the front gates. The GCH entrance is locked up tight.

There are photopass people at the meet & greets.

Have a great time!

I've been to DCA the last two years and I'm going on the 28th. I hate to see Adults not dressed up. Have Fun!!! Be a kid!!!! Its DISNEY!!!!!
Huh...Some people just don't feel the magic.:confused3

Firday, October 3rd was a 'sold out' event. However, there were tickets available as a walk up at the ticket booths. The line for tickets was very short at 7:30 pm. It was as busy as I've ever seen DCA. Lots of people - lots of great costumes. It was fun to just people watch. (although I also ended up taking home a huge bag of candy!) It seemed that the trick or treat bag was larger this year than last year, and it holds a LOT of candy! You really don't need an 'extra' bag to get more than your fill of candy. Trust me, you end up with a lot. There are lots and lots of treat stations to visit.

One of my very favorite parts of this event was all of the 'dance parties' in the different areas. Watching kids and adults alike dance up a storm with the characters was just a blast. And yes, of course I danced too ... I'll even admit to dancing the hokey pokey. The parade this year is different than last years parade. The parade stops in 3 different places and is a moving dance party with Minnie, Mickey, Goofy, etc .. all the kids go out into the street and dance with the characters. I have to say it seemed like all the kids (little and big) had a great time!

You said it was sold out, but there were still tickets that night? I ask because I ROYALLY screwed up and didn't buy tickets for this Friday night 10/10. I'm looking ebay, craigslist, asking local friends, but no such luck. Do you think I have a shot of walking up and getting tickets?

I've got a 5 year old who thinks she's going and her grandma made her a Minnie Mousekeeter costume, complete with saddle shoes...that's my sob story. I never imagined it would be sold out. :guilty:

Thanks for all the great info. We've been to MNSSHP at WDW and although it was fun, I hated having to trek all over the park. DCA is no where near as big as MK and I think we can get everything accomplished that we want. We will probably go around the park in a clockwise direction so that we make sure we ride Toy Story. At least that's the goal.

Does anyone know how bad the wait for Soarin' is those nights??? I don't think riding the rides is really our goal. There are ones we want to do but I think the absolute musts are Toy Story & Soarin'.

We're going on the 23rd and hoping that because it's a Thurs, it won't be very crowded.

I'm excited and our tickets came in the mail today. Yippie!

I'd love to dress up!!
But I have four kids and after spending $25 on one daughter's costume, $20 on another daughter's costume, $50 on my oldest daughter's costume, and $40 on my son's costume, plus the money for SIX party tickets, I am flat broke!!! :lmao:
I am looking forward to seeing everyone else's costumes though! :yay:

I hope the photographers are out!! We need our family pic taken. We are going as the Scooby Doo gang. I"m Velma, dd is Daphne, ds is Shaggy and Dh is Fred. I haven't found a stuffed scooby so we may or may not have a scooby. It should be pretty hysterical!!:cool1:
