i hate school

Oh, and we had to take a seminar on "how to use a computer".
UGHHH!!

Some dingaling last year decided to hack into our security system and stole EVERYONE'S SS #, address, bus #, phone #, parents' names, the whole shebang. Turns out it was the other campus' Valedictorian. (Our school district is split into 2 campus', each with about 12 schools.) So this year we had to take an hour long seminar on how to use a computer, and this IS NOT the first year we're used computers.

I love high school heh.
I just wanted to say that, it has nothing to do with Shelby's vent because I get that she has so much work and it must be stressful.

I'm having the laziest year ever. I only get homework in Science. I swear. English we'll have to do maybe two or three questions or maybe write somethign...
but other than that? Not really. Math my teacher doesn't give homework. We don't get anything done in class though, today was the first day of learning something new (heh and I didn't pay attention ^^')

My advanced french class is a joke. It's just extra french, we don't do work everyday. Most days we do activities so we're using our french, but I mean we aren't learning anything new.

And art, well, we don't get homework in that.

college is so not easier.

i just got back from an exam, i have one today at 4. (timed anatomy lab exam! eeek)

tomorrow morning i have an anatomy lecture exam. i also need to write a paper by thusday, write a lab report for chemistry by thursday, watch a movie and analyze by thursday, and i have a chemistry lecture exam on friday

it sucks.
oh yeah and i need to keep a 78 average in anatomy lecture/lab and chem lecture/lab to even be considered to move on in my major. and my overall gpa can't drop below a 3 or i lose my scholarship.
FABULOUSSSSSS

Oh yuck:headache: I too have to keep a 3.0 for my scholarship. I know it sounds simple, but when you're overwhelmed it feels like it could be hard to get.

Good luck on all those exams!

I had the scariest day of my life today. Yesterday we had a gun threat so we were off yesterday and today the police came in and the whole day I was wide awake in fear. I usually get 2 naps during the day because we watch movies pretty much at least once a week but today I couldnt.

Well, I for one, absolutely LOVE college. High School was hell.

The professors expect more work from you, yes, and you are expected to spend hardcore time on your assignments, but when you enter college, most (and I say that lightly) are mature enough to understand this and do get their work done in a reasonable amount of time. It's all about time management. You are a full-time student at college - it's basically your job to go to class and get homework completed.

Other than that, college has so far been the time of my life. I'm a sophomore and I want time to SLOW DOWN! So many memories, experiences, and stories to last a lifetime already! I go to a four-year state college and it's amazing. My friends are a blast - my roommate is so much fun - and dorm life is just so much of a learning experience that I really can't say college sucks...at all haha.

I am involved with several things on campus, I stay active, I get my work done, and I have time to be social and do things with my friends. College won't kill you if you manage your time well and know your limits.

Currently I am working for my teacher certification, I took the required exam in this state. I took it early knowing that I am going to have a practicum coming up. Right now I am getting my pre-practicum completed and I started that early this semester as well knowing the my work load will pick up later on this semester. It's all about knowing your work.

I just got accepted into the Disney College Program :cool1: and now I am working on getting everything for that set up. I have a semester to get everything I need to get done for this year and a semester to make-up for before spring 2011 lol. It's crazy! But I wouldn't trade this crazy life for anything! College is a blast!!!

High school > Middle School < Elementary School

Middle school was horrible. High School is pretty good. Definitely looking forward to college!

In my life, schools would be rated as such:

Elementary school > Middle School < High School > College.

College is tough. It's a lot of work and if you miss a day or more because you've caught some bug (which I'm desperately trying to avoid at the moment. Something's been going around. :headache: ), they take no pity on you. Missed a test because you were home with a fever of 102? O-well. You missed it. Get a zero.

It's also a lot of writing. My first semester I had to write 4, 4 pg. essays. Second Semester I had to write a 10 page research paper. This semester I have to do a 20 hour case study, write 6-10 page paper over it, and also write a 10 minute speech. Not fun.

A lot of times I believe that what they expect are a bit un-realistic (like the 3 hours of studying outside of class for every hour inside of class). If I did that, I'd be studying about 12 hours a day, on top of class time, homework, and every day things like eating etc. There just isn't enough time in a day...let alone energy...to do something like that.

We're humans, not robots. :headache:

I agree some of that stuff is hard (10 minute speech?!)
however, I did moer than four 4 page essays in a semester of high school, and I wrote a 12 page paper my senior year too.

I also agree about the work out of class rule. At orientation they said "3 hours per hour of class time" which is around 8 hours a week for us per class, so for me that'd be 8 hours per class x 7 classes = 56 hours a week. It's a huge jump from high school, where it'd be a miracle if I spent an hour a week on a class, unless there was a huge assignment.. but even then probably 2 hours a week per class max.

It kinda sucks.

sitting in writing class...

totally not in the mood to write anything. I'M SO DISTRACTED BY THE FACT THAT I'M GOING TO SEE EMERSON DRIVE TONIGHT!!! w00t!!!!!!!

Anyway. School is kinda boring. I'm hungry. I have a jammed pinky finger, so typing is a little painful. And I have to go dissect a pig in about an hour. So not fun. But I have lunch next! YAY! I have a salad, cantaloupe, gushers, and lego gummies. AND A JUICE BOX!

Can't you tell that I'd rather be someplace else?

I wish I could use the computer in school.
I seriously have no classes that have access to a media lab.
It's lameee.

Can't bring my laptop because we're not allowed to get ont eh school network with them.

I'm actually enjoying high school so far. Middle school was AWFUL I slacked off so badly I was such a mess, then last year I didn't do so great either but this year I really need to get it together. I have a new principal and he is making this huge deal that apparently sophmore year is the most important or something like that. Which I don't think that sophmore year is THAT important but I should be treating every year like it's important.

I don't have my friends in the two classes that I don't do that well in so I can actually concentrate, so that's good.

I'm just trying to take it one class at a time every day and get through it, I can't wait until college!

All we've done so far is skin it.

We're doing it in stages to correspond to what we're studying at the time.

I'm only a soph and i'm totally not looking forward to my junior year which i heard is killer. the only thing keeping me going now is a bribe to get good grades for a spring break cruise... :]
