I Hate Bonfire Night

1. It's absolutely freezing outside. Why would you want to be out there?

2. The fireworks are loud.

3. The cats are scared of the fireworks and are going nuts because they're freaked out and they're not allowed out.

4. The whole city smells of smoke.

5. I really, really don't see why it's OK to sell explosives to the public once a year. Organized displays, yes. People's back yards, no.

6. I'm tired and grouchy and the combination of fireworks and two cats bouncing off the walls means I can't sleep

I feel your pain. Glad we only have to deal with that twice a year (4th and NYE.) I hate it then.

I love it! Guy Fawkes is one of my favourite nights of the year!

Although I will concede it does have it's problems - my poor dog is terrified of fireworks, especially the big ones.

I really don't see whats to complain about. Its only one weekend a year. Its a great British tradition and long may it continue.

I have a friend that did a faux war report of the bonfires and the explosions going off. It was terrific. But yes explosions are good for about 2 minutes then you must yell at someone to stop
