I had big plans for today!

But my favorite way to prepare a beef filet is with a rub from Kueka Coffee Roasters. Their Shanghai Six Spice is to die for.

That stuff looks freakin' awesome! I have never heard of this before. I am going to have to find some. I love rubs more than marinades. Coffee and beef.....such a weakness. Have you been to Le Cellier and had their coffee rubbed Ribeye? OMG, it's sooooo good.

There stuff is awesome. Cayla and I (well ok I, as she hates coffee) discovered them at a gralic festival in the finger lakes region when we went camping/boating at Kueka Lake. They also have some of the best flavored coffees I have ever drank.

I have attemped with some success to make my own coffee rubs, but theirs is SOOO much better. I have not had that at Le Cellier, I have eaten there a few times, but I am one of the few not on their bandwagon.

OK, on to my drama from yesterday. And I had big plans too....Opened my snail mail and had some good news bad news. BAd news, and this relates to a previous post of mine. The bonus I was expecting....I got screwed, it is less then 50% of what was discussed and it is being paid over two payroll cycyles!! So I still have to wait for the $, and it will probably screw my unemployment claim up as it is being paid as extra weeks of salary, and not a "bonus". :confused3 I'm so disappointed in this. I poured my blood sweat and tears into that job to ensure I got the high end bonus. I met every and or exceeded every goal, was dedicated, etc.... To get a thank you letter with the message well the economy was bad so your bonus is lowered....I know what my stores sales numbers brought in...Total BS. I thought this guy had honor, and integrity. What was I thinking!?!?!?:headache:

On the other hand. I won  my unemployment appeal from the job I left last year with the homophobic owner. I won it alone on the merit of the wage dispute. (And I guess an 8 page well thought, well written appeal letter didn't hurt either). It become final in 10 days and then gets kicked back to a lower office for the monetary decision.:woohoo:

Stacey - sorry about your bonus - I got screwed recently too and got a pay cut... Glad about the unemployment case!

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: Um no..... Trust me, no one wants to see that either.

You don't know till you try young man!
Now march...
I have your codpiece all laid out for you :upsidedow

I agree with Wally...It's just not a day until there's a queen in armor.

Tony,
How's the basement?

when are you guys headed to WDW Stacey?
We finalized plans yesterday. We are going March 29 - April 3. Between Cayla's classes and my commitments, finding the time was a project. We are going to V&A on the Tuesday night to celebrate. We got good airfare on Jetblue, and DVC had room at SSR (wer'e waitlisted for AKL Concierge). I will be spending much of the trip behind my cameras. As I am giving a lecture in May titled Photography at Disney - It's More then Mickey Mouse.

For those that have been to V&A, I assume they will not have a problem with us two gals celebrating our anniversarry.

The basement is dry!

That's great - it's soon too! Don't forget to stop by the luxurious bar at SSr and see a famous Diser!

I want a full report on V&A's! :thumbsup2

Glad to hear the basement is doing well.

I will visit, as I have before...he makes a mean Mojito and Chocolate Martini. I'll have to try a dirty martini this time....hmm can I bring blue cheese olives......Damn now, I'll have to rent a car just to buy olives.

I can't wait for V&A!! For me to worry about packing as not to wrinkle, let alone care about packing....it must be special.

Oh my - I need to circle this day...Stacey NEVER packs more than 24 hours before a trip (needless to say we usually have to go buy something she forgot)

She is excited about V&A - won't tell me where else she has made ADR's for us other than Tusker House on the first day.

I have left all the restaurants and food up to her (a first - I am the planner). Me - I am going to pack the week before and hope that I can remember how to iron stuff.

I don't think I have worn anything but scrubs, uniforms and sweats in almost a year.

As far as Stacey's talents - they are many and wonderful...just don't ask her to sew...that is NOT a talent!

Since we are at SSR, I am sure we will see our friend, he makes a mean martini for sure....<deciding to destroy the diet altogether!>

Cayla
