I had a BLT for Thanksgiving with a little Holiday & Birthday Cheer:NEW END & new PTR

That Turkey BLT looks SO good! YUM!

We've never eaten at PVH...we'll have to try that one. I think it would be fun to see the IASW boats coming and going. :goodvibes

We've never eaten at EU either and now we'll steer clear! ;)

Great food report! Thanks!

I agree on the Turkey BLT, that looks way yummy!

Haven't tried Tutto Italia, did when it was the old Italy restaurant though. Might have to try that again sometime.

EU has always been a so-so meal for us. We don't expect much and it delivers, :lmao:

PVH is one of our favorite CS places in MK!
And I agree with you about the Contempo Cafe. We liked the food. And those cupcakes are so big! It's definitely a cupcake for two.

Matt and I will have to split one when we are back down in Oct.

You had such great dining experiences, and that's not easy when someone has as food allergy.

Yes overal our dinning was really good. Although I didn't order much for NR and her food issues, she still ate well. We'll try and order some of the items they do have available at the CS places a bit more on our next trip. She'll be that much older and hopefully willing to eat some different things

That Turkey BLT looks SO good! YUM!

It was Missy...if you ever are by CR and have time for a bit I recommend eating there...the portions are a nice size too for your boy crew :)

You should it's like Pizza Planet but not so noisy

We've never eaten at EU either and now we'll steer clear! ;)

Yep I think we won't be eating there anythime soon again...

Great food report! Thanks!

thank you and you are welcome!

OK- I am all caught up. Very impressed with your park touring and with it being almost dinner time here your food report made me hungry:goodvibes

I can't wait for the epic Epcot report!

As you can see the crowds had now arrived at WDW by our Day 6) it was getting full of people waiting to make transfers at the TTC:

100_7522.jpg

We did spend a lot of time at that monorail this trip and while waiting for it to arrive at the TTC we did a lot of pin trading w/ the CM’s:

100_7760.jpg

Also here are some pictures of the tron-orail, unfortunately we never did get to ride it:

IMG_2284.jpg

IMG_2285.jpg

Besides waiting for the monorail, as like on any trip there always some waiting to be done…here a few good candid shots:

IMG_2300.jpg

Like a good Diser I was taking notes, the twins spent most of their “waiting” on their DSI’s or Nathan read.

IMG_2282.jpg

And Bekah just couldn’t get why I took this picture…but you know don’t ya?

World Showcase and Storytellers:

So what defined our EPCOT touring this trip? World Showcase We spent two mostly full days and 1 partial evening touring EP during our 10 days at Disney this trip. We went on Day 2) Sat at night, Day 6) Wed from about 11:30 to closing and Day 9) from just after opening to about mid evening.

Most of that touring time was spent in WS, we had fun looking for new things around the countries, taking our time looking around and in the shops and taking in the Holiday offerings on Sat.

One of the more enjoyable moments was hanging out and playing near the phone booths in the UK pavilion, thanks to Amy’s phone number tips, we sent the kids in w./out them knowing we were calling and see their expressions when they’d pick up:

Holidays of course were a focus of this trip and we were looking forward to seeing the Storytellers around the World. We go to see four: China-Monkey King, UK- Father Christmas, France- Pier Noel, and Italy- La Befana. It was alot of fun to see them and I was glad the times I had found on the Dis from ’09 were accurate, just too bad you have to zig-zag around to try and see them. People really didn’t line up or gather to watch till pretty close to the time they started, I think mostly because the times aren’t listed in the times guide. After each little show, the storyteller took time to take pictures and sign autograph books if you had them. La Befana (Italy) really liked the homemade booklet I made for the girls. Nathan said she said to tell your Mom “she is very talented”

I think we all agree we liked the Monkey King the best, he was very fun and comical and the most amusing story and something very different!

Some new things...

We of course went on TT once at night w/ Grandpa and the twins plus me and then again during the day when Rachel took her first spin on TT. She thought it was quite fun YEAH! Now hopefully next time we go we can all try going on as family w/ NR tall enough.

Here are some pix from our spins:

The usual test “smarties”

Even though this picture was taken in the interactive area after riding Spaceship Earth, it fits in here:

100_7259.jpg

We also had our first ever Innoventions experience as a family in Where’s the Fire. It was quite empty in EP at this point as it was shortly after opening. We went in WEST I am pretty sure and not many people were in there. We stopped at the Where’s the Fire and even after the CM’s telling us we should hit the big items like TT or Soarin first we still stayed and attempted to see how Fire Safety Smart we were. We divided up into two teams Nathan, Rachel and I against Daddy, Bekah and Naomi-Ruth. It was a fun little game where you used these techno flashlights as a team to shine on these interactive walls to spot the fire hazards and rack up the points. We all did quite well. The first room was a bit tricky till we got our timing together. But it was fun.

100_8077.jpg

We didn’t see anything else that interested us at the time. But seriously first thing in the morning if you are not rushing off to the big thrills is the time to come in here. We’ll check it out again for sure and find some other new thing to do.

Another new first for this trip was taking everyone on the Maelstrom one of Daddy’s favorites…I tried to snap a shot of Matt and Bekah by the Viking w/ mouse ears…not sure you can see him though:

More to come, stay tuned popcorn::

Great updates - Yay for Epcot!! :thumbsup2

I love the bathroom picture. :rotfl:

I'm glad you enjoyed the storytellers - I would love to see them but I don't think the boys would have the patience for more than one.

All caught up! great updates. Really like the Wishes pics from MK and the pic of Nathan with Vidia!! Looks like you guys had a great trip!!

Epcot is so much fun... the Holiday Storytellers are definitely a must! So glad everyone enjoyed them!

It's bedtime and I've got the munchies... why oh why did I have to read your FOOD posts??

Kathy

Love the Epcot updates so far! We liked the Monkey King to!

On our last trip, Daniel had learned how to say "Hello" in many of the different languages and got a kick out of the CM interaction. It was funnier sometimes when they would continue on in their language. :rotfl:

Can't wait to hear the rest!

Exploring the World Showcase is my FAVORITE thing to do at Epcot. How fun that you were able to take your time and see so many new things this trip!

The storytellers look amazing! I love the pictures. :thumbsup2

We did Innoventions first thing in the morning as well. Perfect time to enjoy it while everyone else is rushing to Soarin'! ;)

The phone booth pics are cute. What's this about phone numbers and how did I miss it?? :confused3

The food updates gave me a rumbly in my tummy!  Thank you for confirming what I've heard about Electric Umbrella. I'd like to do PVH sometime though.

Loving the Epic Epcot day! Hannah and I did Where's the Fire on our 2008 trip and our team won! It's a really neat way to teach fire safety.

we did, sorry we didn't see more, but I know we'll be back again during the Holiday season/T-giving break again...especially if Naomi-Ruth has anything to say about it ;) You know your boys might surprise you...you can sorta walk right up and they little bits are not that long.

All caught up! great updates. Really like the Wishes pics from MK and the pic of Nathan with Vidia!! Looks like you guys had a great trip!!

Can't wait to hear the rest!

Fun Epcot pictures! I don't think I realized you could get your pictures made with the storytellers. Very cool!

Yes I wasn't sure either, but they all do I guess, it is fun!

Yes Amy found them somewhere, next time you go I will give them to you, or from some Disney fun from home you can call the booths from home and see who answers  Wait till you hear my story about them during the Spectrum Mom trip

The food updates gave me a rumbly in my tummy!  Thank you for confirming what I've heard about Electric Umbrella. I'd like to do PVH sometime though.

Yes it was odd though as I really recall when we ate there in '08 it was good...oh well probably won't chance it again and yes PVH was a nice MK break from our usual

Loving the Epic Epcot day! Hannah and I did Where's the Fire on our 2008 trip and our team won! It's a really neat way to teach fire safety.

Of course I love all the amazing details around Epcot and especially in WS, here are several:

Here is a closer look at some of Holiday decorations too:

This little gingerbread house was inside Germany’s new Karamel Kitchen:

I love all of the little details you just posted! I have no idea where some of those pictures were taken! It's amazing how you can visit the same place over & over and still see something new every time.

Some Entertainment:

We got to see the Chinese acrobats by chance to during our touring which is always fun and glad we did too after hearing after out rip their contract w/ Disney expired and they didn’t renew:

100_7824.jpg

100_7822.jpg

Another live show we saw was Mo Rockin in Morocco. This is one of our funnier stories. We were looking around in the shops toward the back of the pavilion when we started to hear the music, Matt went to investigate and they said “come hurry let’s watch the band”. He headed off ahead and when I caught up I had to wonder why he hurried so…

100_7798.jpg

During the show the lovely belly dancer invited some girls to come up and give it a try…Bekah of course went. I love the expression on her face:

100_7800.jpg

100_7802.jpg

We didn’t actually watch the show, but saw it going on in France while we were waiting for Pier Noel to come and tell his story.

100_8097.jpg

100_8096.jpg

It was quite crowded over here in France, w/ Marie out, the show going on and people milling around, it was during this point we got a bit separated (Matt and I each w/ a few kids) and this was when I thought I lost….

Nathan

I went so far to start semi panicking. Matt didn’t see him, I didn’t know where he was. So I went to the first CM I saw and said my son is LOST. She went to another CM to cover her area to go help me when we turned around and there he was tucked in a corner just reading away…oh man was I relieved. Thank goodness he was wearing that bright green shirt today I may have not noticed him.

One Holiday thing I was really looking forward to was the Candlelight Processional, but it didn’t end up working out as much as I’d like. We saw the 5 pm showing, but the standby line was HUGE even at 3:45 pm…so it was an extremely long wait and even once we got in and got seats it just was too long for the kids. NR was real squirmy, Rachel fell asleep during it and then Nathan was getting a bit wound up. Although I enjoyed it and Isabella Rossilini was great…it was a bit distracting trying to enjoy the music.

Here are a few pictures:

CHARACTERS:

The little girls got to go explore around in the Seas w/ Nemo w/ Daddy, while Grandpa, the twins and I went on Soarin:

They look a little nervous in their clam-mobile:

Hi Dory!

IMG_2007.jpg

One thing Rachel really wanted to do was to meet Jasmine and Aladdin, we were finally able to make that wish come true on Day 9). It hadn’t worked out during our ’09 trip and each time we tried on our Day 6) we either were in the wrong spot when they came out, the line was too long or it just closed. Daddy helped to time it just right and took her and Bekah to see them. You can see in the pix that Jasmine was a bit chilly.

And Aladdin liked Bekah’s hat and got the biggest kick out of his autograph card:

The one character Nathan couldn’t wait to see was Donald, he is collecting pix’s of Donald and him, so far he had Chef Donald, Frontier Donald, Safari Donald and now Mexico Donald.

Plus as well during this meet and greet he asked Donald to sign his cap for him. He was thrilled!

Photo0360FourBySix.jpg

Photo0364FourBySix.jpg

We also stopped to meet Mulan. Naomi-Ruth was too nervous to go up by her. I really enjoy meeting Mulan she is always the same yr and yr and is so sweet w/ the kids.

Rachel also got to meet Marie the cat and wanted to know why she was standing…
