I used the link for the additional $10/night for Priceline and I got the Sheraton Safari Hotel for $25/night for 3/14 to 3/16. Has anyone stayed here?

We can't help you with a review because we haven't stayed there yet but we'll be looking forward to your review because we got the same place through Priceline for an October trip.

OMG - Barry actually bid on a 3* hotel! The lure of Bonus Money is gonna take away your crown as "King of the 1* Bidders!" ;) :p ;)

Just kidding! I lucked out also and got the Safari for $24 + $10 for a Xmas trip we had planned. You gotta love Priceline and BiddingForTravel.com .

Here's a link to the Sheraton Safari website and a review from FlyerTalk.com (scroll down about 6 posts - by PremEx).

HTH, Steve

Jumped back in to add that the $10.00 Bonus Money was from a promotional email that Priceline sent out to a number of past users. The period for bonus bidding ended last night at midnight.

hi we stayed there for three weeks in october last year, it was a lovely hotel very clean and the staff where very friendly, the all you can eat breakfast in the hotel was also very good the kids got to eat lots every morning, the location is brilliant right by downtown disney, only takes a couple of minutes to get there, if you have any questions please feel free to ask susie :jester:

I stayed there last June - got it for 49.00 as a special through Dreams. here on this board. It was great - nice water slide, nice pool, great location, clean, good special on food in the bar - had appetizers for a meal one night and nice breakfast buffet.
Through the Sheraton site goes for around 89 - 99 per night.
Staying there again this August.

LoL, I'm with Steve! BARRY and a THREE STAR???? Barry WHO????

Sorry, PIC... I couldn't resist! :p

Beverly Lynn stayed there several times and LOVED it. Ask Pete about it, he said he's tried every hotel he lists personally!

Congrats, that's a great deal!

Great job Barry! My friend is staying there that week also. She got it for a $1.00 less!! :D
I tried for the resort category that week, no luck. I'm missing you by two days again! :(
We'll be in the lovely Hamptonn Inn on the 18th.

I have seen a lot mentioned about this priceline,as we are new to all of this and never been to florida before we are looking for as much info as poss can you tell us what this is please ?(we are going to florida for 3 weeks at xmas and staying at quality inn plazza int drive but havent got a clue about anything there)
much apreciated Jimmy.

I have never used priceline but decided to try it because of all the great deals everyone is getting - but I don't get it. you have to take what they give you and you don't get a choice? Yuck..............I would love it if I got the Sheraton Safaru but what if they gave me some terrible room or hotel???? How do you folks get around that part? thanks Karen

Read the tips on the website suggested. There is also a huge set of tips and hotel info on www.biddingfortravel.com

I know bidding for travel has a fairly comprehensive lisiting of hotels you might get. DO NOT bid if you cannot live with ANY of the hotels in your category. If you must be on site or must have the Shearton this is not the way to go. You must be flexible for this to work.

That said I have gotten some great deals on Priceline. I have a wonderful Westin in DC the weekendo 3/28 for $50 a night for example.

Update, if anyone knows a contact at better bidding can you tell them that the message board is acting up. I have tried to register to post and keep getting an error message!

DH just booked us here for $34 in April. We always stay on property but this is a budget trip and that was too good to pass up.

I'd love to hear other reviews.

We stayed there for one night 2 years ago. We had 4 rooms thru Priceline for $30/room/nite.

We loved this place. The staff was as friendly & helpful as can be. The rooms are large and clean. The kids loved the pool. Even the restaurants here are good.

We remarked that if we were ever going to stay off site, this would be the place for us.

You'll enjoy your stay there, I'm sure.
