I found something in my lunch

:faint:

Good Lord. Makes me grateful that the worst frozen food experience I've had thus far was opening a Healthy Choice Chicken Margherita entree and finding it to be, in fact, sans chicken. Still tasted darn good, though, and all the free coupons I got for informing the company about it were a nice bonus. :)

This totally reminds me of something that happened to me in the first year of my marriage. We spent a few days at my MIL's house, and she had a pantry with a whole big shelf of 10-15 boxes of cereal. I grabbed a box of Frosted Flakes and looked inside to see how much was in it and in the dim light it looked like it was moving. It was! :earseek: The box was half filled with worms! :faint:

It's been 10 years since that's happened and I've been leery of eating at my MIL's house ever since!

:sad2: That is totally bogus!!!
once I found a fly in my soup at a resteraunt....
needless to say I never went back!!!!
My friend though it was hysterical though :rotfl2:
I know he's sick!

So what you need to do now is pick up the package and call the 800 number as well as e mail them about how disgusting your experience was. Then mention that you posted it on a message board and hundreds of people are seeing it as you speak. I know that the FDA allows a certain percentage of non food items (read as bugs and other items) to be allowed in processed food provided it is somthing common to the particular food. For example, the ladybug in the celery was okay since it came from the field that way. They allow so many insect parts in say grape jelly for example. If the bug was a maggot then I feel that is a problem. If it was some sort of weevel that would be found naturally in rice then I think they will tell you that. If it was something due to a sanitation problem they would want to know b/c they do NOT want to end up with sick consumers.

Yuck! That reminds me of the time when I was eating cereal and found a spider inside. I had eaten part of the cereal before I noticed the spider but was happy that I hadn't eaten the spider. I think the little guy might have crawled in after I left the box/bag opened one day but after reading cgcw's post maybe it got in at the supermarket. In any case, I haven't had much of an appetite for cereal since then :)

oh. man. i just ate lean cuisine for dinner.

ive found many worms in my fruit though. and my dad ate one once from an apple. UGH.

EWWWW!! I have a hard time eating the "product in question" after reading any stories like this. So Lean Cuisines with rice are out for awhile...

Anyone want to help me with my diet by mentioning that they found something really disgusting in a Krispy Kreme donut, Cold Stone Creamery ice cream, or one of my other big food temptations??

im loaded with stories, some ive experienced, some others have. Have ones about McDonalds, Taco Bell, Pizzeria Uno's, pizzerias in general lol... but ill only share em if people dont mind being scared off these things! any takers?

that is gross!!!!

one time years ago I was drinking a coca cola - from a can and took a sip and immediately noticed something went into my mouth and I grabbed it with my lips - I thought it was the tab and didn't want to swallow it - well I spit it into my hand and noticed that it was a bug - like some black roach looking thing (dead) - I immediately freaked and got sick. I just opened the can so I know it wasn't from our house. I was furious and called coca cola and within days I had cases of coke!! that was the last thing I wanted!! there was enough soda to last me years - I gave it all away and it was years before I could drink coke again and still, 14 years later I will still not drink from a can. :crazy2:

Seem to remember a post like this on the Weight Watcher's Board. For that board it was great. They turned me off to many things but most especially soft serve ice cream. Do not ask why but do not eat it if you can help it.

I don't think even a bug could turn me against their raspberry filled donuts :teeth:

Ok I'll bite ;) (Sorry I couldn't resist)

Maybe this will help me kick the junk/fast food binge that I've been on lately. Bring it on!

lol ok well first, here in NYC, theres a pizza plce on every corner lol and you get partial to a certain place. I liked one place, my friend wanted to go to the place he always goes to so i finally gave in. We went, and you know how sometimes there is a bubble from the dough? Well, he popped a bubble on his slice and inside was a dead roach that was cooked into the pie. Um, gag. I almost got sick. We were refunded our money and the owner offered to give us a free pie but we declined. I used this as a reason why my pizza place was better! My friend never went back.

At UNO's, we had the unfortunate experience of finding out that apparently rats pay rent in the place. Yeah, we were eating towards the back of the restaurant, and a pretty dirty looking rat scampered past along the wall. We asked for a check immediately, leaving the half eaten food, and left. No one even bothered to tell anyone we just got out as fast as possible.

These other two happened to other people. My dads friend ordered one of those chicken sandwiches from mcdonalds. There was some white stuff in it and he thought it was mayo, but it tasted strange. When he looked at it, he realized it was a tumor that was in the chicken that burst. *GAG*.

Taco Bell, my friend had baby spiders crawling all over inside her burrito. She only opened it because it was so messy, she figured shed try and eat it with utensils instead. hen she opened it, there they were, cheesy baby spiders.

Bon apetite!

I had the exact same thing happen to me with a Lean Cuisine meal. It looked like some kind of larvae. I mailed it to the company and told them how disappointed I was to find this in my meal. They replied with a letter stating how their facility is clean and there is no way this could have gotten into one of their meals. They also sent me coupons for 10 free Lean Cuisine meals. After finding that in the last one, I was just so eager to go and get more!! :rotfl2:

Ok that was pretty gross! I definitely won't be by a McDonald's or Taco Bell for a while *lol* I hope the spiders were dead. :scared1:

I once saw a mouse in a local restaurant here, it was running between the kitchen and part of the dining room. I pointed it out to the waiter but he didn't believe me ... I guess he thought I was trying to scam a free meal or something

Eeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwww!!!! :crazy2:
Bleccccchhhhhhh!!!! :scared: :crazy2:

I once found a grasshopper in a bag of salad..... it kinda looked freeze dried.
I was traumatized for weeks....... If I had found the "cheesy baby spiders" mentioned in a prior post OMG  I'd eat twigs and berries for the rest of my adult life!!!! That is just plain GROSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
