we are planning for our trip in October and so far have 3 plans. Either doing 12 nights in a villa & 2 nights at universals RPH or doing 12 nights onsite disney & 2 nights at RPH and the third idea is to stay on site at disney for 6 nights , 2 nights at RPR at universal and the other 6 nights around I-drive chilling , shopping, going to seaworld & space Kennedy centre etc. The reason I like to split stay is we're not keen on driving (although know if we get the villa we will need to hire a car).

Can anyone recommended a really good hotel/condo around i drive or other area with shop's, restaurants etc within walking distance. Ideally we would like a separate sleeping area as we are going with my partners 14 year old son. somewhere with good on site facilities as well as a lovely ,modern room . Any suggestions please.

Try the Homewood Suites by Hilton at 8745 I Drive - right in the middle of the nicer end of I Drive. They have 1 or 2 bedroom suites with a full kitchen. Hot breakfast also included in the price. Not sure of your dates but typically £180ish/night for the 2 bedroom suite.

You can also try the Embassy Suites - similar deal, similar location.

On a lower budget, you could try the Holiday Inn Express at 7276 I Drive - they have suites.

If you want to be a bit further out and don't mind hopping on the bus briefly to get to some restaurants etc. try Hilton Grand Vacation Club or Floridays.

Hi,
thanks for the reply...I was starting to think no one knew of any nice condos on I drive lol. I have stayed at Floridays & although it was nice it was a bit too far up I drive (although handy for premium outlets).

I'll have a look at the others you recommended. I need to be quick & decide where to stay as the free DDP finishes at the beginning of Feb....
which option do you think I should go for. I'm taking my partner & his 14 yr old son for their first visit. I really want to get the location right as I want them to love Orlando as much as I do:love::love:
1) villa at Windsor hills or similar for 12 nights & 2 nights on site at universal
2) Saratoga springs villa for 12 nights (& get the free dining) & 2 nights at universal
3) Saratoga villa for 6 nights, universal for 2 & remainder in a condo/hotel around I drive to go shopping, sea world, Kennedy space centre.

thanks again for the reply :thumbsup2

Embassy Suites is fantastic, if a little dated, have been there twice happy hour 5-7 drinks!

Hi sandier Andy,
I see you have stayed at Windsor hills - how does that compare with staying in a condo ...which did you prefer ?

I much preferred Windsor Hills its a great destination. If you've any questions of be happy to help, where I can.

Thanks:thumbsup2 ...How long did it take you to drive to the parks? I've only once stayed at a villa & the thing that put me off was the driving & not being close to any shops or restaurant. What's close by,in the way of shops?
