I'm just curious if I'm the only one who doesn't remember what stateroom/s they've had.

I've been on eight cruises, had eight different rooms, and for the life of me, I can't remember the number of any of them. I can remember the area I was in, but not the room number.

Maybe it's an age thing. I'm lucky if I can find my keys most days.:teeth: :teeth: :teeth:

Just wonderin'............

Well after eight cruises what do you expect (I would be the same way). It's easier if you have only been on one cruise (DCL that is). We were in 6092 last year and this year we are in 6556 (I think - LOL). Now ask me what rooms I was in on the other non-Disney cruises and I have no idea. I guess I need to do trip reports so I will be able to remember what rooms I occupied before. - Mike

I don't remember the room number but I remember which room it was...we had the handicap room right next to the secret 7 deck!

I've only been on 1 disney cruise thus far. I remember that we booked a category 12 and when we got on the boat found out our room number was changed. It was my honeymoon land/sea trip in 98 so it has been over 5 years. Dh told me we were upgraded to a porthole window (I didn't even remember having a window - I guess my mind was on other things)) and when I called disney to check on my upcoming cruise I found out we had a category 9 on deck 2.

As long as you remember your room number while onboard!;)

Plutojudy, it's not me who's lucky if I remember the room while onboard, it's the poor family who's wondering if someone is trying to break into their room.

It just amazes me how people remember what room they were in. Usually, around the 3rd or 4th day, I'll stop asking my DH which room we have. (Which is not a good thing when I'm on the Wonder. ;) )

Forget about hotels. I never remember those rooms either.

I only remember because I keep a DCL brochure and I write down the rooms on the deckplan page, I have been in when I go. Also the dates, because I know for sure I won't remember them.

Now I just have to remember never to throw out that brochure and I will be okay;)

Me too, I have circled our rooms on the deck plans in the brochure.

We did also---on the starboard side, room 7638 (11/02). We also took a pic in front of the door with the kids so we could remember.

7604 on the Magic on 12-27-03
1818 on the Amsterdam in June 2002.

Beyond that, I don't remember, HOWEVER, my carry-on bag still has all the luggage tags on it from the previous cruises, so I COULD cheat and go look!!:D

I couldn't tell you the room numbers from our earlier cruises, but then I got smart and started taking pictures of our door and putting it in our scrapbook. :D

For our 10 day we're looking at making a magnetic door sign.

I always thought I knew my room number while on the ship until I bought something or was getting off the ship and they asked me for the number and then I became instantly dyslexic. I usually had all the correct numbers, just in the wrong order :)

That happened MORE than a few times onboard.

On a similar vein... How many different passwords do you have for your email at work, at home, atm machines, security logons, online subscriptions, online banking. I don't like to use the same for everything and on more than a few occassions I lock myself out by trying more than the maximum attempts. I have a file on my work and home computers now with every password and user name that when I try a rarely used location I don't fumble around and can look at it.

So.............. one 4 number room is small potatoes :) Plus I have my 11 year old who always can lead her decrepit dad back to the room if need be :)

Cheers,
Grumbo

I've actually got a list with all 37 of our staterooms. It's marked in a DCL brochure, with all of the rooms circled on the chart and listed on the side, along with our dates.
Actually, for the last year or so, it's not too hard to remember because it's either 5650 or one of the non-adjoining secret porthole rooms. I think hbby has just about every one of his Key to the World cards, but I pitch mine.

Barb, is your goal to circle each and every room before you're done? ;)

So, if I take a picture of my stateroom door, that means I'll have to remember to get that roll of film processed??

That starts a whole new set of problems.:crazy2:
