I don't have a clever title but I DO have 2,000 photos! WDW in Oct. update!

Gosh, I don't know really know what to say but gorgeous pictures of Vegas. Everything looks so over-the-top! I understand why you'd want to take pictures of Viva Elvis. I've seen little snippets of it on television and would love to see it. Maybe you can work Cirque du Soliel into one of your future WDW trips.

WOW!!! Thanks for sharing all of the great pictures from Vegas. You really did do a lot in a short time.

Gorgeous pictures from the Top of the World. The sunset and the night pictures. Too bad your entree was uninspired.

Love the pictures from Old Vegas- sorry that the sleaze still seems to be around. :scared1:

The Springs Preserve looks INCREDIBLE!!! The wild life, the amazing structures from recycled materials. Awesome.

Those were sure some talons on that owl! What was that beautiful white bird? I didn't recognize the type.

How funny that you got a more enjoyable lunch there than at the Top of the World.

The Titanic exhibit sounds really cool. My son Ben is a Titanic freak. The ship, not the movie, if you know what I mean. He even had a Titanic-themed birthday party a couple of years ago. We almost went to the Titanic Experience when we were in Orlando last summer- but I heard that it wasn't very good. And tickets were around $20, I think!

I look forward to hearing about your May trip. :cool1:

Thanks! I had seen the Titanic exhibit before when it came to Foxwoods, but it was much smaller than the Vegas one. I really enjoyed that! Someday I want to get to the one in Orlando.

I think the white bird at the Springs Preserve was referred to as a "Snowy Falcon", but I will double check. My brain doesn't remember anything anymore.

Thanks! Viva Elvis was great- the musicians were SO awesome. I will definitely be trying to work in Cirque in a future WDW trip. I'm trying to decide when to go in 2013, but I can't make up my mind. I think it may be an early December trip. I have been dying to do an Alaska cruise, too, but I NEED to go to WDW at least for a couple of days out of the year.

I don't know if I mentioned to you guys that I plan a lot around evening EMH and advice from the Touring Plans website. That is basically how I decided to schedule my park visits during this trip. Here are my plans so far:
Friday May 11: Arrive around 10am, check in, head to AK. Lunch at TH. Evening EMH at Epcot.
Saturday May 12: No specific plans except a late dinner at California Grill.
Sunday May 13: Call Mom (Mother's Day). DtD or Epcot. Evening EMH at MK.
Monday May 14: No specific plans until Evening EMH at DHS & dinner at 50's Prime Time.
I am looking forward to taking photos of the Resort. I think I may spend time at a few different resorts during this trip, just taking photos. I still may schedule a meal or 2, but I like a lot of the counter service locations...so I may not book anything else. You guys will be the first to know if I do!

Hi April,
Happy Monday ;(

I just remembered what I asked you in my post that mysteriously vanished..lol

Back in Vegas at the bird sanctuary...was that you holding the bird in the gray zip-up hoodie? if so, I like your headband - It's really cute! :cutie:

I think that I'd enjoy a solo trip to WDW. I could just wander around everywhere and not have to worry about anybody asking me "where to next?" or "when are we going to eat".

If you do decide to resort hop, don't forget about that yummy veggie and tomato soup that we had at the CBR. I do look forward to seeing your POR pictures since we will be staying there just a couple of weeks after you do.

That's great that Niko doesn't try to jump up on anything. I should have gotten my crate back, but I had just lent it to my cousin because his boxer hurt his leg, too. :sad2: You should see our living room- it's a mess!! The couch cushions are on the floor in front of the couch, there are dog beds & blankets everywhere. It looks like a textile or upholstery factory exploded. We have a bunch of bags & boxes all ove the stairs. It's totally chaotic!
Whoa! So you don't leave until the 12th?? That's great. I'd love to meet up if you are up for it! I'll PM you my cell # before you leave for your trip.
Thanks about the photos- there is so much to do & see in Vegas that it is sensory overload. The latest thing is that people dress in costumes & hang out along "the strip" for you to pay them to get a photo with them. We saw an inebriated Mickey Mouse and a terribly dirty Winnie the Pooh...but I didn't get photos. :upsidedow I want to see Cirque at WDW now, too. It's not in the cards this trip, but I bet I can swing it next year.

How is Isis? I hope she is better!!!

We rarely even use Niko's crate because he gives us that "Why are you treating me like a dog" look...:lmao:. He really does think he is a person.

Your house being chaotic isn't a bad thing, you love your baby and you have to do whatever it takes to keep her from getting hurt worse!!

It would be awesome to meet you!! I will give you my number too!!

Vegas looks like a cool place to visit. I love going to new places and looking around. I do not blame you one bit for not getting your pic taken with drunk Mickey and dirty Pooh..........:lmao:.

Thanks! That is my friend, Renata, from NYC. She actually has a knack for finding the cutest darned clothes & accessories!

I think that I'd enjoy a solo trip to WDW. I could just wander around everywhere and not have to worry about anybody asking me "where to next?" or "when are we going to eat".

That is why I love my solo trips. I get to wander in my own little haze & shop! LOL
YES! I will definitely get that soup if I resort hop!!! Thanks for reminding me!
POR is really nice & quiet. I think you will like it. I have heard awesome things about Piano Bob in the lounge area. I can't wait to go see him. I think he plays Wednesday through Saturday nights.

Your plans sound great so far. I think taking pictures of the resorts sounds like fun.

Thanks! I think resort hopping may be time consuming, but I am looking forward to it.

Isis seems to be feeling good lately, thanks. Ugh- we have the same issue with her thinking she is a person. She thinks we are awful for offering her dog treats...she wants cheese...but not American cheese. She wants Provolone cheese. :lmao:

Definitely sounds good to me!!!! I'll meet up anywhere in Epcot. Maybe for a photo in Morocco??? :rotfl2: (You remember my photo of the building?)

HI April,
I'm glad Isis is better! that's sooo cute that she was provolone - my favorite as well :rotfl2:

That's so awesome that you and Dana are going to meet up! A pic in Morocco is a must!!

I hate having friends that dress cute - unless they share - LOL

Thanks! Isis is back to sleeping in my bed upstairs. I just have to keep her moving slower than she wants to.
Ugh- my friend would share her clothes, but I couldn't cram my fat butt into anything. I have *just* started to get serious about getting healthy again. Yesterday I hiked 2.66 miles, so that's a start. I have to stick to it now. I want to lose some weight before that Morocco photo!!! :rotfl:
Too bad we couldn't plan a meet at WDW where it was just us Dis girls. That would be a fun time!

HI April,
How are you??? just checking in....hope Isis is all better....and you both are out enjoying this awesome weather we have been having.....!!!!!!!!! :cool1:

How did I NOT know that you continued on with this with your Vegas trip and you have a new ticker?????? I am sooooo out of the loop the last month.

My DH is leaving for Vegas tomorrow for six days on a business trip. I used to go with him when he goes in August, but haven't been in probably seven or eight years. I am so enjoying all your pictures. We've never stayed at Ceasar's. We stayed at the Venetian once because the company paid for it. Normally, Mark stays at the Flamingo because it is convenient for him, but when I go we stay at the MGM. Now you have me itching to go back.

I'm sorry to hear about Isis. :sad2:

Thanks- things here are ok...Isis is doing good- I'm just keeping her from jumping around too much.

Thanks. How did Mark like Vegas this time?? How is the MGM?? I have heard awesome things about it. The Venetian looks gorgeous! I've only eaten/shopped there, but I loved it. I am dying to stay at the Cosmopolitan next time.

Oh I am soooo glad that you posted today. I've been wondering how you were doing and had hoped everything was okay. After the person hacked into my email account, I lost all my email addresses so I couldn't shoot you an email either.

Sorry I have been MIA for a while. I have been busting my behind at work & at home. I'm counting calories like a maniac & exercising like crazy. So far I have lost 9 pounds in about 3-4 weeks. I wish it would happen faster, but there's nothing I can do about that. I refuse to starve myself. I have a wedding to attend in 2 weeks & I was hoping to drop a little more by then, but oh well.
I added a day onto my trip! Now I will be in WDW May 10-15. I want to spend a lot of the first day visiting WDW lounges- actually- I think most don't open until 4pm, so I'm not sure what I will do before then. I'm super-excited for this trip, but I have so much to do between now & then that I can't focus. Easter is nex weekend, I have a wedding to attend in 2 weeks, I still have to tear through all of my clothes & donate everything I don't wear. I just donated about 20 pairs of shoes. Plus, every weekend I have to cook a bunch of soup to last all week for my diet. This past soup was SO good- cabbage, potato, & tomato. I know...BOO-frickin-HOO. I have to stop complaining. I just have an extra 60 minutes out of my day that is taken up by exercise, so I have less time to do MORE stuff! I am going to catch up on all of my subscriptions- even if I don't always comment, know that I AM reading! I will be back to update when I can form a clear, single thought again! I've missed you guys!

Crimeny!!! You had your e-mail hacked?!?!?! :scared1: Isn't that the worst? Mine got hacked once & sent Viagra e-mails to EVERYONE in my address book- including ALL of my work contacts!!! I was mortified! I'll send you an e-mail so you can save my e-mail address. :)
I saw the Swiss Family Tree House photos in your PTR & I have a question for you... Can I get through that without going through tiny passages? I'm a little claustrophobic, but I'm ok if there aren't tunnels longer than 6 feet or any really small enclosed areas. Do you think I would make it??

Good to see you posting again and I'm glad to hear Isis is doing a bit better.

Congrats on the weight loss. You should be proud of what you have done so far, not critical! You are working hard at it and that's fantastic!

Sounds like a busy spring for you and your trip will be here before you know it!

I just wanted to come out of lurkdom and tell you that your pictures are AWESOME!!!

and funny enough, but I was in Vegas about the same time as you! We flew there on Sat., Feb. 18th and left on the 23rd - we stayed at the Paris.

Im going back next January with my sister and we're already booked back at the Paris..

I LOVE the mall at Caesars!! and who knew that the birds were out there?? you learn something new each day!! :lmao:

Thanks! It is definitely a slow road with the weight loss. I have been working so hard & it definitely gets frustrating.

Thanks! And thank you for coming out of lurkdom!! That is crazy that you were in Vegas at the same time. We could have passed each other on the street! The Paris seems like it is the perfect location to stay at- it is central to everything! You must have had some great views from your room, too.
