The cost is so much higher to have a few snacks?

Am I missing something?

You have access to the Itinerary Planning Office that will make your dining and tour reservations for you. You get daily housekeeping with turn down service.

Depending on location, you get a private building or private floor /area with key card access.

Package delivery to your room.

"worth it" is entirely subjective.

If you break it down dollar for dollar it likely isn't. But we (fiancé and I) wouldn't stay otherwise anymore. The continental breakfast is all we need in the morning and the appetizers are great at night. Not to mention the unlimited beer/wine and cheese. We are big coffee drinkers as well which is also unlimited. Add that to the relaxing room locations (upstairs in the Grand Floridian listening to the band, Hawaii building at the Poly overlooking the castle, or top floor at WL) and it certainly adds another element to our vacations that we enjoy after the hustle and bustle of the parks.

How much $ someone values those things is subjective of course.

We like to stay club when we can get a good rate. We do it mostly for having the lounge area. With two older teens, it's nice to have extra space outside the room. I use it when I wake up early, and everyone else gets to sleep in. The kids use it at night, when DH and I want to go to sleep.

We don't stay value. And club level is cheaper than two rooms deluxe or mod.

ETA: So funny! Forgot I was in the DVC thread! Since we JUST bought DVC this year, I don't think we will use club much any more. Better to have a 2BR with our teens!!

Yea, I guess us DVC members will never stay Club Level (which is fine with me)... at least for the next 40 years... lol!

DH and I did a triple split stay this year, 4 nights BWI CL, 4 nights WL CL, and then 4 nights in a regular studio at AKL on our DVC points...special trip for his birthday. It was our first time staying CL.

"Worth it" is subjective completely. BWI we'd probably not do again, WL was awesome, but that's our favorite resort (VWL is also one of our home resorts). Had we not had DH's CM discount, we probably would not have done CL. We had fun and skipped dinner a couple nights at WL and the beer and spirits at night was a nice to have. I do see us staying CL again in the future, but only with CM discount. Maybe someday we'll even stay CL at AKL since that's our other home resort.

Cost wise it likely isn't but it can be far more than a few snacks. When we've stayed concierge, we haven't just used it as a place to sleep but more to relax and hang out.

I would have to get a great rate to pay cash but there isn't that much of a difference using points for a studio. The difference between Savannah and CL is 2-5 pt.s per night depending on the season.

It used to be that staying in the club level was the only avenue to the "Sunrise Safari" behind the scenes tour with extended Safari ride at the Animal Kingdom Park. That was the prime reason that we stayed in a Club Villa.
They have temporarily (maybe permanently) opened the Safari to all guests at AKL.

If they change it back, however, that would be a prime motivator for trying to reserve a Club Villa as that tour is really nice, and not ridiculously expensive, considering that you get a fantastic breakfast as well.

Disney has moved the cancelation date for the Sunrise Safari from Mid December to October 19, 2014. No word if there will be an replacement.
