I'm so EXCITED!!!

Just booked a 3 day land/4 day sea cruise through Dreams Unlimited.

I'm still waiting for them to contact me because I'd like to switch cabin #'s (hoping to be near the back of the ship to reduce swaying).

So, since I'm learning as I go along, I was hoping that someone could give me some tips:

1. I am going to buy transfers. I have no idea what they are

 . Do the transfers entitle us to transportation from MCO to the hotel, then to the port, then back to MCO?

2. Has anyone booked through Dreams? Was it a good experience? Were they easy to reach? They have a great reputation on these boards, so I feel comfortable with my choice.

3. Any tips you'd like to share?

PS. Did I tell you that I was so excited??? :sunny:

Congratulations!!! You will have a WONDERful time!! Our family first cruise was the 4-day and we loved it so much we booked a 7 day!!!

Transfers are on a Disney bus fromt he airport to the hotle to the port and back again. We used them before and are very convenient however if you have a family it might be cheaper to rent a car or do a limo. Just a thought...this year we are renting a car.

I have never used Dreams but from this board I hear excellent reports on them.

Tips to share:
#1 Enjoy yourself!!!
#2 Don't try to do everything on the ship-you will just exhaust yourself. which leads to
#3 Book again while on board!!!

Have a great time (have I said that already??
:teeth: )

CONGRATULATIONS!! It's so exciting to book a cruise :sunny:

I've read good things about Dreams Unlimited, I'm sure you'll have a good experience with them.

As far as tips go, I'd only say to keep reading these boards. You'll find the answers to questions that you hadn't even thought of yet! :p

Congrats on booking your cruise. Now just take some deep breaths to calm down and start planning. It will be here before you know it!

That is so exciting that you booked a cruise! I am sure you will get as addicted as we are!!!

The Disney transfers are convenient but if you are taking more than 3 people they are more expensive than hiring a car service on your own. The nice thing about hiring a car service is you can go when YOU want to go not when Disney says you get to go. There are some hotels that Disney picks up later than others so you arrive at the port later than others. It is just nice to go on your terms but if you are only a couple it isnt worth the $$ to hire a car service when you can do the Disney transfers cheaper.

As to using Dreams Unlimited...we've used them twice now and they are very easy to work with and they have always had great rates for us! If the price of your cruise goes down they will reflect that automatically in your reservation and credit your account the difference. If you booked your Land/Sea together with them you get the added benefit of having them make the PS arrangements for you and helping you plan your trip. We did the land sea last time and our agent Misti was able to get us the coveted Cinderella Castle breakfast and she did all the work. They are really nice to work with.

The only tips I have to share are to read this board and ask questions...the people here are great at helping you out with almost anything you could imagine!!

Welcome to the cruising world!

Congratulations on booking your cruise! We just booked ours first cruise a few weeks ago...and tomorrow I will be doing the DOUBLE DIGIT DANCE! Can't wait!

I have one question for all you veterans out there regarding the above quote. I had always heard that you should be located midship to reduce the swaying. We just changed our rooms from 6112 & 6114 to 6600 & 6602 since it was more mid-ship. Did we make a mistake?

I also booked mid-ship on the advice of travel agent because I told her I was afraid of seasickness.

PS: Mickie&Minnie- You will be doing the double digit dance in 26 minutes!
