Hi, I want to book a room that holds 5, but only have 4 in the cabin (for Murphy bed for large son vs. bunk bed). Costco online will not "show" those rooms, but DCL will let me book with 4. Can I book online with DCL and then transfer to Costco within 30 days and still get full value Costco card? Thanks, Elaine

I’m not sure about the transfer. What I do is search for 5 guests on the Costco site. Write down a few options, then search again with 4 and book One of those options.

Just a little FYI: the Murphy bed and the bunk beds (as well as the sofa bed) are all the same twin size bed.

Costco travel can book any cabin that DCL can. Even if it doesn’t show on their website. Just call them and tell them the cabin number you want to book. They will call DCL and book it.

About your Costco card question - you used to get the whole value of the cruise if you transferred to Costco. Not sure about that now though!

Yes, you get the full value on the Costco card as long as the transfer is within 30 days.

Costco can book any room that is available via DCL. Call them and ask for that stateroom. If they can't see it in on their end, they will call DCL and book it for you over the phone. That saves you having to do the steps of the transfer process.

I concur that it’s easier to call Costco to book DCL cabins most often vs booking on their website. Especially if you want to get a discounted rate that’s not showing on their website but is available on DCLs website. I always prefer talking to someone as they can also get our preferences and allergy notations and rooms linked, as we often book 2 room.

I think Costco used to give the highest return back to the guest and I just wondered if that still holds true?

Costco travel gives around 9% of the cruise fare back on a Costco card, 2% back if you are an executive member, and 3% back from the Costco Citi card if you pay with it.

We sailed in 2 verandah cabins on the Treasure in October - booked thru Costco travel. The cabins cost around $10,000. We got back almost $900 in Costco cash, $200 added to our year end executive rewards and $300 in Citi cash. Around 14% back. Nice rewards for using Costco travel.

Yes, but be careful. I find Disney tries to ____ you on the transfer. You have to hound them. They “misplace” the paperwork. Don’t “receive” it. Every other cruise line does it over the phone with Costco.
