I could just cry

I can't tell you all how much you have helped to cheer me up. I know I will still have a blast. I just don't want to miss a thing with the kids, I want to be there to hear every scream, see every smile, and capture the moments in my heart. I first injured my neck when I had DD 4 1/2 years ago. The Epidural took a long time to get started and the nurse put too much pressure on my neck 'helping' me stay in position. I have a herniation at C5-C6 with nerve infridgment bilat. Started having the trouble-pain, muscle spasms, weekness, headaches, and such about a month ago. New MRI showed Significant deteroration since the first one 4 years ago. I was really hoping that they could do a nerve block before our trip but looks like that is not to be. I have broke down and gone to the disabilities board. I have avoided that as I have always been active and hate to think of my new limits. I will hang in there and keep all your kind words close to my heart and remember that it will be wonderful anyway. I will sit with MIL and watch the rest of the crew go on and have a camera ready to capture their faces just after. Thanks again all....you are the BEST!:)

I know just how you feel.. you at least will be able to go to the park and have fun watching everyone else having fun..
and even ride a little.. I like you...
planned our first trip with our grandchildren and Children..which took me over a year too.
and I was able to get to the park one time before I got sick, long story.
but I ended up getting Hemorrhoids that were so bad I couldnt walk or sit.. I would have given any thing, to just be able to be at the park, even in a wheel chair.
I spent my whole week in Bed laying on my stomach...
so for me at I want to say to you... Go have fun and remmeber you can alway go back again... I know this will not help but I really feel for you.. I know how your heart is breaking.. but Please try and find the good in it...
you can still go to the park and on some rides, just not on the rides with with the disabilities sign on them.. there is still tons more you can do... have fun...

Okay - this may sound kind of "hokey" but - I don't do a LOT of the rides - mainly because they either make me motion sick or I'm afraid of them - BUT - I have an absolute BLAST at WDW because I look - I mean really LOOK - at a lot of the things that I think people who are so "ride oriented" miss.. It's such a beautiful place - beautiful architecture - vibrant colors - wonderful flowers and bushes - and watching other PEOPLE is the best!!! You would be surprised what you will notice when you take your focus off of rushing on to the rides.. Watch the elderly couple strolling down Main Street hand in hand - as much in love now as they were 50 years ago.. Notice the gleam in a little ones eyes when Mickey gives him or her a hug and a kiss.. Pay close attention to the look of joy on the faces of the parents whose children are just giddy with happiness.. Watch how the CM's interact with the guests.. It really is fascinating - not to mention heart-warming!!

Most of all - please, please, don't go down there with the mind-set that you're going to "miss out" and not have any "fun" because it will become a self-fulfilling prophecy.. You WILL have fun - if you WANT to!! ;)

Good luck - and I hope you feel better soon!!

Don't forget to look for all the Hidden Mickeys, too! Betcha find a lot this trip!!!!!!!!!!!:earsboy:

Thrill rides are just a fraction of what's available. In addition to attractions, enjoy the shopping, eating, drinking, relaxing, etc. You can always return when your neck feels better and catch the thrill rides at a later time:D
