I can't wait until school!

Social life? I don't go to school to TALK to people. I go to learn about very cool things. I'm not into parties or dates, or anything that falls into those categories. If anything I don't need to get a soical life. I just don't... i'm tired of people using you, and everything else.

No need for a social life!! rriiigghht...well you would love my schedule then.. AP English, AP WorldHistory, AP Physics, AP Chemistry, Calculus and Accounting OMG i am going to die this year im so not looking forward to it,i am however looking forward to this year being over so i can get to COLLEGE!!! :cool1:

Okay, I'm not about to repeat myself entirely again, so I'll let it go. Go live in your studies. In fact, marry it because without a social life, it's the only thing that will rest well with you.

I started two days ago... and it's really... odd

10th grade is awesome, sophmore's babi! (Go bubble)

but almost all my classes have juniors or seniors in them because of my advanced classes

Loves Disney may not repete herself, but I will, and will continue to until you understand that an unbalanced lifestyle is unhealthy! We're not saying that you have to go and date people or go to parties but talk to people, go to a movie, to McDonald's for lunch for gosh sakes! You say that you want a future. The future will require you to work with people, even if it doesn't seem like it. I'd love you to name a job with NO outside contact. I like to think of life as one huge game of Survivor; you may not know who to trust but you have to follow instincts and put yours in someone or you'll get voted off. You have to not think that everyone is out to get you or it will shine through in your attitude.

And as a side note; if you think it would be fun to go to school all year, do it! Take summer classes and get ahead so that you won't have to take them later. You will have more time to...well, not enjoy being a kid... I wasn't trying to be mean before, moreso give advice, but now it's tough love.

here was my original post:
I actually like school too, don't feel badly. I'm a big nerd. I love seeing people who I haven't seen. The classes don't bother me either; it's the minimum 5 hours of homework per night, without any exageration. That and waking up to catch the 6:20 bus! Besides that, it's all good...and that I don't get to go on the Dis every day .

To clear up another point...Miley Cyrus: It's very possible to have both good grades and friends! I have never failed a test in my life, my lowest average ever was a 93 (which was gym...yes, it always brings my grade down...shut up all those snickering! Kidding, I can't help but laugh at it myself!), I am in all possible advanced classes, even those where I'm the only one in my year (another social aspect...hint, hint), AND I have unbelievable friends! I 100% agree with the previous poster that you need interaction in order to actually get anywhere. Besides, friends aren't meant to be pains to you, we call those people enemies. They help you get through things and vise versa. Helping friends out is an unbelievable thing! An example: My friend's parents are on the rocks. I am the only person besides immediate family who knows about this. Realistically speaking, there is nothing I can do besides letting him know that I am always there for the listening. He know he can trust me with this secret and help him through it because I have been through it too. Even if you go a day with out fabulous grades in school or a dull, slow day, you still go to bed that night feeling great because you helped a friend even in a small way. So now before I get WAY off topic, you need them, you really do, whether you know it now or not. When college rolls around and no social activity is seen (clubs, sports, volenteer work, etc), you will become second class to an 80s average student who does do these things, and that is a promise.

I'm not a party person at all and I enjoy school for the most part- probably on Nerd status ;) - but what I, and probably the others, don't understand is how you can focus so much on your school work and not on yourself. Part of being a teen is figuring out clues to where and who you will be as an adult. Doing things other than school is really what shaped my personality and my future.

These past few years especially, I've learned so much about myself from performing at my school and everything that goes with it - it is scary putting yourself on the line, but everybody is scared to do it. I'm sure it's the same in every activity - from music and sports, to being involved with the Red Cross or a church group or having a job.

I've made some truly amazing friends through music and the other activities I do. We don't call eachother every night, we don't hang out every weekend, no wild parties - but sometimes it's fun to get together with some friends and go out for pizza or just hang out just talk. It is good to know people around your age going through the same kind of things as you.

I understand that you really love to learn, which is a great passion - maybe tutoring, being a student librarian, or helping out at a preschool are outlets for your talent.. you can share your love of knowledge with others

Just remember - YOU are more important than any grade on transcript. :grouphug:

She's only beginning her sophomore year guys...give her some time to bond with people, make friends, and then go out.

It's great to love school Miley, really it is...so many people DON'T like it that you are one of the lucky ones. But please trust anyone on this site, or even me when I say...to not have friends is lonely. You do not NEED friends to get good grades or to be academically successful...however, you need friends to be emotionally balanced...to learn how to care about others...to learn what betrayal IS and how to AVOID it...these "cool" things you learn should be both academic AND social...think of friends as another learning experience if that is what you have a passion for - learning. Good luck Miley. :)
