We have viewed 25GB of Disney Food Photos. WOW!!!

Now what do we do until next month, NEED MORE DISNEY FOOD PHOTOS!!! YUM!

:thumbsup2 I started reading last night, got about 3/4 of the way thru, and finished the rest tonight. Love it! But why do I see little not-working links instead of those fab food pics?

All fixed! DH treated me to an actual photobucket account with unlimited bandwidth :thumbsup2

Sadly, I had no idea what 25GB was. Fortunately he did.

Good!! because it sounded good but most bread pudding I have seen had raisins (yuck) in it. Thanks for the pictures and reviews.

Another great couple of reviews Jenn (or should I call you Appletini? Granny Smith? Pink Lady? :rotfl: )

Thanks for the warning about the PB - the first pic was OK because I couldn't see it (although I was still a bit freaked because I knew what it was)

And thanks also for being the first person to convince me that it may be worth us giving Ohana a try - I have read countless reviews and looked at hundreds of pictures but this did it for me:

If love were in a bottle and you could drink it, it would taste like this caramelly buttery rummish sauce...  Especially when mixed with melted vanilla ice cream.

Yep, that's me hooked into getting an ADR for Ohana next April. Let's just hope that my little angel doesn't ask for a PB&J sandwich

Oh, and thank you Goofy :thanks:

Another great review I've been a bit worried about the O'Hana desert (we're booked for August) as I hate banana's and don't like bread and butter pudding but I think I'll just ask for ice cream and the sauce now thanks!

Great Reviews:thumbsup2 I am ready for Dinner and it is only 8:45 a.m.:yay: see what you have started (just kidding)

The Bread Pudding sounds fabulous:banana:

Great reviews again! That first picture of the view from 'Ohana...you should post that on the Resort pic of the day thread. It is definitely a unique view of the resort! :thumbsup2

In case you're counting, by this point we had used 11 CS credits out of our 27 allotted. And we had three more days to use the 16. So what to do? Skip the fruit and doughnuts and head out to breakfast!

I knew the breakfast CS's were different - no dessert, etc. So I assumed it was just the breakfast items and then a drink. I asked DH to grab a diet coke for me, some chocolate milk for DS and whatever he wanted. I assumed he'd get the bottles, but he got two fountain sodas and a large chocolate milk.

When I went to pay for the meals, the wonderful CM told me that the kids meals come with small chocolate milks not large, but that the two adult meals came with two drinks so I could keep the large one, grab a small and another drink to boot.

???

I guess that is so one drink can replace the dessert and you can get coffee and juice or something...?

She waited patiently while I ran over to get a small milk for DS and a bottle of juice for later.

Another plug for why Artist Palette rocks: they make most of your food to order (things like bacon, potatoes etc are already made). You get a beeper and receipt and pay for your meal while they cook it. Then when the beeper goes off, you go pick it up. We had breakfast at POFQ last year and while we did enjoy it, the food was already premade and scooped onto the platters. I thought it was very good at the time, but comparing it to AP makes it pale in comparison. And truly, the CM's here are just so nice and friendly. I met a lot of CM's at CS places who were obviously up to here with explaining what comes with the CS credits (and I know they have to answer this repeatedly) but these CM's were just so helpful. And I was very impressed - they were busy cooking and a manager was behind the counter helping to serve up the food.

So in the end:

DS ordered the kids Mickey waffles with grapes, bacon and chocolate milk.

He loved this and ate every single bite and then half of my breakfast.

Dh ordered the bacon, egg and cheese croissant, a Sprite and the large chocolate milk:

Dh really liked this - he said it was very fresh and good.

I ordered the Bounty Platter, diet coke and juice for DS for later:

This was the perfect breakfast: scrambled eggs, Mickey waffle, sausage, bacon, biscuit, and breakfast potatoes. DS loves scrambled eggs and sausage (and bacon) so he shared that with me. DH also had some potatoes and eggs and bacon. The platter was HUGE and I was full with what I ate, and my boys used it to supplement their breakfasts.

The eggs were good - too soft for me, but DH and DS enjoyed them and I think most people would (I like my eggs very dry). The waffle was fresh and really good, the potatoes were soft and tasty - not dry. The bacon and sausage were both perfectly done. Not too fatty or greasy. But the biggest surprise? The biscuit. I thought of that as just something else on the plate - nothing too special. I expected it to be hard and dry, but it was in fact warm, soft and very fresh and good.

Wow...ever heard such a review of a BISCUIT??

Anyway - we had had breakfast here last year when we stayed at SSR and enjoyed it, already had it on the schedule for lunch this trip and were very happy with our decision to have breakfast here.

And now we were up to 14 used CS credits! ;)

I've been thoroughly enjoying your reviews! Thanks for taking the time for writing them for us.

BTW - I loved the Mickey sprinkles on the kiddie sundae from Ohana. Has anyone seen them for purchase anywhere at WDW?

I need to check the receipt on this one - it was a hot dog stand in Tomorrowland outside the Lunching Pad. But I have no idea what it was called.

DH and DS were getting hungry again around lunchtime, so we stopped to get a hot dog meal. It was your basic ridiculously huge hot dog, a bag of Doritos we packed to take back to the room and a Sprite for DH and DS to share.

They had a small condiments area where I pumped mustard on one half and ketchup on the other. DS hate hate hates mustard and only likes ketchup on his dogs. DH? He's from Chicago, where I think it might be illegal to put ketchup on a hot dog. This made them both happy ;)

A nice, basic stop in between rides. If you want good hot dogs, I'd go to Casey's for the toppings choices and the atmosphere. If you want a nice inexpensive snack in between all the fun? This place was very good.

Thank you!

I'm not sure if they do sell those, but I would assume so - maybe at the pantry shop at DTD??

DS loved them!

While the boys were enjoying their hot dog, I stopped to get a smoothie with a snack credit:

tropical fruit smoothie (orange-pineapple-mango-passion fruit):

Refreshing, fruity, and a perfect snack. I believe this was frozen yogurt based. I got this while the guys rode on the Speedway. When they came back and tried it, DH didn't care for it, but he's not a huge mango fan. DS and I loved it.

:thumbsup2

Yum, that breakfast looks really good. That's a great deal that you get 2 drinks witht he CS breakfast :thumbsup2

I must admit, I have yet to find anywhere at WDW where the eggs are cooked enough for me :sad2:

Amen Sister!!!

The places with omelets made to order are the only ones I've see. But you can specifically ask. (Mother's Day Brunch, Boma)

I love smoothies so Auntie Gravity's is a definite stop next time :)
