I can see the ISS

When DH & I were at camp one time we sat and watched it
go by overhead 2 or 3 times.
We must have sat there a while w/our friends as I just looked it up
& it generally takes 90 minutes per orbit 🌎.

It was pretty cool, indeed :thumbsup2.

I haven’t tracked it for quite some time now, but have seen it in the past. Just over a month ago I did get a glimpse of the rocket launch that was resupplying the space station though.

We sit out on the driveway with the neighbors most nights.

We have watched ISS go by and also watched Starlink satellites all in a row go by.

All without having planned or known where we should be looking, just because one of the people sitting out was looking in the right direction at the right time.

One trip to Disney we did watch a SpaceX launch from the Contemporary dock. You could see the rocket go up and then come back down for a landing. We were far away being at the Contemporary so you really only saw the glow from the rocket engines but it was still interesting.

r.e. bold CR is 60 miles from launch area and depending on time of launch/weather, the rocket can be seen. We're on the West Coast of FL some 145 miles straight line from Canaveral and have seen the entire Falcon Heavy rocket rise, then the boosters separate and perform boost back burn, head back to Canaveral, re-entry burn and eventually disappear below the horizon before landing burn. p.s. - using binoculars of course :teeth:

DD lives near Windemere and when weather conditions are favorable, she has had to go to her Church to turn the alarm off when the SONIC BOOM of the returning 1st Stage hits the area
