Ok so we were leaving Animal Kingdom for Downtown Disney....
Our problem was that there are not any buses that go directly to Downtown Disney from Animal Kingdom. Our initial thought was to grab a bus to Port Orleans French Quarter and then take the boat to Downtown Disney. We love the boat and when we have stayed at Port Orleans it was the biggert draw for us. But when we arrived, there was a huge line way outside the que for Port Orleans and a bus had just pulled away. But, there was a Caribbean Beach bus sitting, waiting to pull away so we jumped on there. And it was a training bus. And we past Pop Century on the way. And it was slow. But in our defense, we did not really think about where we were in relation to where we were going and we should have just gone back to Pop and transferred there. But it the Pop stop at Animal Kingdom was in section C whereas we were in section B (I think) so the thought never crossed our minds! Not that we were in a huge hurry but it's just the DUH factor that bugs me!
So anyway, we get to Caribbean Beach and we get off at the second stop, wait about five minutes, get on another bus, go back past Pop Century and to Downtown Disney. We fot there about 8pm. We were not in the mood for shopping and Skye's feet were hurting from her flip flops so we just headed to Wolfgang Puck Express. Tyler moaned about it as soon as he realized where we were going. You see, Tyler's last and only experience with Wolfgang Pucks was about three or four visits ago and hr got a pizza and afterwards was sick in the room (ya, call-mousekeeping-in-the-middle-of-the-night sick) and he swears it was the food. So he was none too happy. I asured hime he'd be alright. I stood in line with Skye while Grammy called Pa and Tyler went to the bathroom. It was a pretty huge line! While there I heard a couple fighting, a family with three kids in which the mom was threatening the oldest kid, and a kid saying how boring this was!!!! Can you believe it??? Well, we finally figured out what everyone wanted and Skye and Grammy went to sit down. Tyler stayed with me. We ordered the rotissiere chicken with garlic mashed potatoes and green beans, a mac & cheese, and spaghetti and meatballs. For dessert we had a creme brulee (Grammy found a love for it on their last trip whcih was their first with a dining plan), a brownie and a sugar cookie...and then we had a botle of water and two pops. Now Skye has not met a mac & cheese she doesn't like so she ate a lot of it...but she said it wasn't the best. It was kind of dry I think. More like cheese melted onto the pasta that a cheesey sauce. Skye, Grammy, and I ate it. The spaghetti and meatballs...well, weird. The pasta was fine...nothing special, nothing bad...but the meatball was like a pile of mish on top of the pasta and sauce. Very odd??? We scooped it off and we all ate off of it. The real winner was the chicken and the potatoes! Tyler absolutely loved it...and ate most of the chicken I think. We all had a little, but believe me when I say "a little". Grammy and I ate the potatoes and the beans...mmmm,mmmmm,mmmm! We shared the creme brule between me and Grammy. It was good but cold...I mean not even the top was a little warm...but it was still good. The water, brownie, and the cookie went back to the room with us...we were just too full. Our receipt says we rang out at 8:58pm and it took a while to get our food so I imagine we did not leave until close to 10pm. The cost was $64.22 all for three counter service credits...now that is a great use of credits! ALthough next time, we will skip the spaghetti and possibly the mac & cheese for other options...the chicken, however, will stay on the list!
We headed back to the bis stop around the back of the building. Skye was a little cold but I thought it felt great after being so hot all day. We had to take the kid's pictures with the Christmas statues before we got to the bus stop...

We got to the bus stop and waited for about five minutes...seems to be a trend today...and filed on. We all got seats but it was a crowded bus! Skye fell asleep on Grammy's lap on the ride. After our stop at the other side, we were headed back to Pop for the night. I don't know what it is about traveling from Downtown Disney to anywhere, but it always seems like the longest ride.
We were back in the room by 11pm and it did not take long for everyone to be changed and in bed sound asleep!
