Havent been to WDW since 2009 - we went to DLR this summer, but back again (WDW) next summer.

Just noticed a post about online ADR's (they are still called that, right - havent gone back to PS's as at DLR? :goodvibes). This would be a huge bonus to someone like me from overseas - I am used to holding on the telephone on an International call for 30 minutes or so:rotfl:

When I looked at the system on the official site, it looks easy enough but I noticed that there is no place to add in your onsite hotel name - how would the system know to calculate the 180 days plus 10 and know you're eligible for this perk?

Is the online system the same as telephoning ie reservations for CRT are available at exactly the same time online as when you telephone Disney Dine?

Also what about the Fantasmic Dinner Package when you pay in advance - does the online system let you do this?

Oh and I noticed also that there is nowhere to say you are on the dining plan online - I remember that the operator always used to ask this (we will be on our next trip)
 
The online adr system hasn't been working properly as they have been trying to upgrade it since Oct.
Some days it is ok, others it isn't.

Here on the boards there has been several threads of issues, if you search you may find them and read thru them for more current info.
But I would recommend calling right now. It is safer for your reservations, not to mention the online isn't allowing the +10 on the 180 days.

Yes it is so much easier when it is WORKING, but your best bet is to call right now until they work it out. Sorry, wish I could say "yay, you will save an overseas call"...but I can't.

If your trip is not until the Summer you have time to hope the online system is fixed for calculating 180 + 10. In the meantime, it is working on a one-day at a time, 180 days in advance.

The availability online is the same as via phone.

As far as I know, Fantasmic dinner packages have to be booked by phone. Have you considered using a travel agent in the US who could call on your behalf? Or do you have a friend or family member in the US, someone with whom you could entrust your credit card number, that could make the call for you?

There is no place to enter info about the DDP because the info is not necessary.
 
Really the 180 plus 10 doesn't work? I hate doing things on the phone because I can't see what they are clicking. Can you look at your reservation online to verify it is was what you wanted? i haven't used it since Summer 2009. For our summer vacation we start making reservations on Tuesday.
 

Just booked ours today online and was able to use the 180 plus 10 -- I booked for our entire vacation. You can also book fantasmic dinner packages & other events, such as dining with an imagineer. There is also a place to check for dinner shows, such as HDDR. Make sure you login with your reservation code first. Good luck! :goodvibes

Fantasmic Package is not a prepayment. They have a credit card hold and a no-show fee, but you pay at the restaurant.
