The WISH or the FANTASY??!! Please help us choose !! We have been on the Fantasy and we enjoyed it ! But never experienced THE WISH!!

Just the short trips they do as a con on the Wish.

People miss the walking track but if you just want to experience the Wish it really doesn’t matter. Yes the adult part is small but there are other places to be. You really have to decide yourself if you like it or not.

Do you want a longer cruise, itinerary other than just Bahamas? And maybe less expensive? Fantasy

They are both awesome! We did the Wish this fall to experience all the new shows/dining/venues and had an amazing time. We are going on the fantasy next year because the price is better than a b2b on the Wish and the ports are more interesting but I don’t think you can go wrong with h either ship.

Fantasy pros: less expensive per night, more nights, better adult areas, better promenade deck, two adult restaurants, two hot tubs for regular guests with no upcharge, Midship Detective Agency, mini-golf, better windows in oceanview staterooms and virtual portholes in inside staterooms, fewer concierge guests (so less ship space taken up by concierge, and fewer activities/amenities out of reach because concierge has already booked them up)

Fantasy cons: vibration issues in aft staterooms

If you are okay with the shorter itineraries of the Wish, then you should give it a shot. We are not in any hurry to return to the Wish, but I am glad I have done it.

I will say, we were scheduled on the Wish in May and changed it to the Fantasy. The difference was less than $1000 to go from four days to seven days. If we had booked it earlier I'm sure the difference would be been greater.

As much as I love to complain about the missteps in design on the Wish, she's a great ship and it's still a quality, Disney product. You can't go wrong with either. For me, though, Fantasy over the Wish every time.

Pros and Cons are really going to boil down to do you want the newer ship with a shorter itinerary or a classic ship with a longer itinerary.

We got off the Wish at the beginning of December and can't wait to go again but we've been looking at the other ships more because costs are lower. If the Fantasy and the Wish are in the same price range, We would choose the 7 night Fantasy without hesitation. 4 night cruises are just too short for my taste.

Both ships are phenomenal, the Wish has some growing pains still since its a new ship but it is really finding its footing. If you have kids that can benefit from what the wish offers in the kids clubs over the fantasy, the upgrades there are really awesome also.

Actually, we had booked a 4 night on the Wish on silver opening day last year and recently switched to the Fantasy 7-night and it was in fact still just about $1,000 more. The inaugural year pricing for the Wish was high from day one.

We have sailed on both ships (as well as every other DCL ship) and frankly the favorite is the one we are on at the time. So, with this decision to make, I'd go with the new ship for the experience.
