I am the best in the

The store I usually go to has a sign "About 12 items or less"???
What the heck does that mean?? 12? Less than 12? or 15, since that is "about 12"

Pop Daddy, I think that last post of yours was the longest thing I have ever seen you submit. You must be feeling good tonight! :p

We also have a store that does this. It means that they "recommend" 12 items or less but won't throw you out of line for having more. This same store still has "bag carriers" that will take your groceries to the car and (I've been told) will also allow you to take your groceries home if you've forgotten your checkbook, debit card, etc. and come back later to pay. It's all about the customer service and even though they charge higher prices than other stores in our area, people here love that touch of service.

Don't do the self checkout..
Think there's only 1 store around here with that--Meijer..

I'd be the one pissing all of ya off...:jester:

3 things you look for young + skinny + short hair = fast

Yes, and frequently the above is a GUY. They are fast.

ALL the grocery stores in my city and even Wallmart have added self checkouts in the last few months. It's very easy(except for produce)

Snoopy! It sounds like you should send your husband to do the food shopping. ;)

NO ONE here in Florida moves fast at all. I'll have to search for someone in Jason's method. :earseek:

I was at Sears yesterday for tires. Here's one customer yacking away with the only guy working in the department. He didn't have enough time to leave his car for however long it was going to take, but he wouldn't shut his mouth! I had steam coming out my ears. Then when I picked up my car, there were 2 guys working. Funny how I was the only customer there waiting. They apparently were outside helping others then brought them back in to ring it up. Again...ignored! HELLO! Am I invisible? I had my ticket...#12. Number 14 tried to slide in before me. Number 13 must have because he was no where to be found. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

I can usually pick a fast cashier, I just pick the wrong person to get behind. You know the one that waits until the order is rung up to remember they forgot -------- will you send someone back to get one, they need to write and check and can't find the checkbook and/or pen, they forgot they had coupons, can you rebag and put the cold things together, can you double bag that, those bags look heavy, can you make them lighter, wasn't -----------on sale, can you send someone to check on it, I think my (milk is leaking, bread is smashed, ice cream is soft) can you get me another and it goes on and on and on........ The very worst is people that don't have saving cards and then don't get the saving and want to fill out the card while you wait on them. I had that happen at Krogers one day. I ended up leaving over $100 worth of groceries on the belt because they wouldn't ring my order up until he got back from the service desk with his new card and he was waiting in line up there. I had to be home in 15 mins to get the kids off the bus and I had spent way too much time in line waiting on this jerk. Sorry long post, but I need to vent!!!

That sounds exactly like the line I always get stuck in.. Ugh!

I picked the shortest line at Walmart the other day (one lady in front of me,) but unfortunately the lady was a WICC. I guess you all know what that means. The cashier had to fill in half of the items on some WICC forms the woman brought to pay for the food.

I always pick the oldest looking woman I see. She always asks to see my ID when I buy beer, and it feels so good. :teeth:

LOL, well, I like the method for the fastest cashier. I should try it sometime.

Although, you all would be going to a different line if I was your cashier and you would be dissappointed, because I'm the fast one in the department I'm in.

Until I get one of those slow customers. "Oh, I have a coupon, but that said it was on sale, do you have that in another color, can you help me find ____," etc, etc.

I admit to writing checks though, but it is almost totally filled out by the time I get there.
