Hey... Just wanted to share that I am smiling from head to toe! We had booked a trip for 1/29-2/1 last minute. The only resort that had inventory was SS. Not my first choice. We went on the wait list for AKV and VWL. Nothing.... Then today I decided to call and see if there were any last minute openning. MS put me on hold to call to the resorts to see if any inventory was available. She comes back to tell me there is a 2-bed, savanna view open at AK. She said she needed a supervisors approval and she would call me back with the confirmation. She called back a few minutes later to tell me we could not do it until Monday. The supervisor could not approve it until 2 days before. I did not understand but said okay. A few minutes later I decided to call our DVC contact person. His name is Ron and he is the man!!!! He called MS and got a supervisior on the phone. After several minutes of being on hold, he came back to tell me they were working on it. Severel minutes after that he came back to tell me we got it!!!! He gave me a confirmation # and we are set to go. I just checked the DVC website and sure enough there it was... 2 bed, savanna room for 1/29-2/1.
I really wanted this for my kids. They are two small boys that love anything to do with animals. I am soooo happy that they will have this experience. I cannot thank Ron R. enough for his efforts. He made our dreams come true!
