About copying the pictures..........I never gave thought about it being illegal or not. It's true that the photographer needs to be paid for his/her work. It's just so expensive & it was her only way to get pictures. Too bad they didn't offer smaller packages.

My DD is a Senior graduating this year as well but we had her pictures taken last year.

We went to the photographer's studio and she represented them as a Student Rep. They took TONS of photos of her, inside and outdoors with about 4 clothing changes. They gave her ALL of the proofs for FREE and we also received a 30% discount on our order. They gave her business cards with her name imprinted on them, which she took to school and friends' houses, along with the photos.

For every card redeemed at the studio, she received $5.00 cash or $10.00 off her photo order.

The studio said they got great response and their bookings was up over previous years.

I forgot to say that your DD will appreciate and love you for always being there for her. Your EX needs a good kick int he *** by one of those horses!

When you go to order your pics, you don't have to stick with the packages they have. Ask how much to buy the proofs (which are a very nice 4X6 size) and then if you don't want a lot of large photos (we didn't), ask how much for an 8X10, maybe 3-4 5x7s and some wallets. The price can be very affordable. My DD ended up ordering over 150 wallets.

We got an 8x10 and then bought two frames and put 8 of the proofs in them and have them all hanging in a collage in the LR.

I've been in your daughter's postiton before. I know how it hurts. I hope everything works out for all of you. I also would look into a more affordable photographer. She should not have to miss out on Senior pictures because her father is a jerk. Good luck!

Do have a Digital camera. If do you can get some really good pictures that way.

When I was in high school I would call photogragher ask what the cheapest package you have. I told I would not buy any picutres unless you have a small package at reasonable price. Guess what i got a good package for a cheap price. I did not have many pictures as my friends had but I did have some picutres.

My favoirte picture is one I was running up the down the concourse like a fool that she took.

We had the pictures taken yesterday. And they were breathtaking if I do say so myself.
Bri and I have talked and she knows I'll do what I can. But she also has a chance to earn some money to help pay for them.

Also, she wanted pictures of her and all her animals, but I convinced her it wasn't a good idea for this. She does have a friend that takes good pictures for a local college and she's going to talk to him about taking some pics of her and her animals.

But those pictures are going to be beautiful. I loved all the outside settings. It could have been warmer, but it was worth it.
