OK, I am ticked off, angry and did I mention I am angry?

It is now 12:29am EST, this is my 60 day out day. MDE states clearly - "60 Days To Go!"

I go to make a fastpass, and guess what? It still only allows me for 30 days out. We started out with a value resort (ASM), then switched to POP, now we settled on CBR. I am wondering if the changes made this happen?

Well I guess I am now officially screwed out of my fastpasses. I will probably have to call them tomorrow, sit on the phone for an hour for them to hit a button to make my fastpass work. By then, everything I want will be gone... of course.

This is so frustrating!!!!

techtony, I'm just curious, did you get to make your FP selections at 1a.m.?

I don't understand why people are getting so upset at the people who didn't know about the 1am window. Many regulars on this board, myself included, don't follow mesaboy religiously and wouldn't know this. If upset FP people bother you this much, why read these threads and then take time to post your complaint about these people? Just skip to the next post that actually interests you....

I don't see anyone upset, except the OP. It is a bit crazy how people are so fast to jump on the Disney is Screwing Up train, without knowing what is going on.

Because Disney is screwing up.
Disney doesn't tell anyone about the "1AM snafu."
Guests can only find out about it if they frequent fan sites.

And, while we're at it...
It's Disney's screw-up that this ridiculous "when MK closes at 1AM" situation exists at all.

I hope you got to book your fast passes.... Please let us know.

People get upset because they stay up late, work hard for these vacations and maybe they have a little girl that only cares about meeting A&E. Let's remember it's stresssful for people if they can't get on when they think they can.

It is stressful. But people shouldn't go from zero to angry, ticked off, and feeling screwed, without stopping to take stock a minute. Sometimes there are reasons for things, besides Disney "screwing" you.

Does anyone know why they don't repair/tell people about it? We had the same problem back in July..........July :scared: I work in IT and an issue like that would be a big deal in my company...........but it doesn't seem to bother anyone at Disney. :scared:

Doug :goofy:

Exactly.

After this odd occurrence happened the first 2-3 times, you'd think that Disney would care enough to get the software re-linked to "real time" and not some odd clock that looks at MK's closing time as "end-of-day."

I agree sometimes people are to quick to get upset, however I can't say I've never gotten upset to quickly only to learn later I over reacted. I just think overall on both ends the upset people and the defenders we all need to gain some middle ground.

I'd be upset too OP. I had no idea about the 1am opening for fp and I doubt I would be able to stay up that late! I wonder how bad off a person would be if they waited until the next morning to book fp. I wouldn't fault someone for blaming Disney, it's frustrating with all the planning, so if something goes wrong that could potentially ruin your trip, I think your frustration would be directed at Disney. If OP had no idea about the 1 am window, she would have gone to bed and tried in the morning, when her choices could be gone. Then she would feel like she wasn't told a crucial piece of info by Disney. Do they tell you that you have to wait until 1am?

I was the one in our group designated to get FP+s today. I went to bed and set my alarm for 12:45 because my daughter had told me that it probably would not open for booking until 1 AM. But, if I had tried at midnight, I think I would have remembered that I have read about the 1 AM start time in the past. At 12:58 I could only do 30 days. At 1:00 I had 60 days.

:thumbsup2

Let people vent. They were up late to jump through Disney's hoops and the hoops weren't there. Not everyone got the "memo" on the window opening later. Oh wait, that's right. There was no "memo".

As far as I know, Disney doesn't advertise a specific time you'll be able to reserve, only a day. So their only promise to anyone is that you can start reserving on a certain day- not a specific time. As long as you can start reserving on the 60 DAY mark, there is no hour mark you should expect. The fact that any of us have figured out when that day may or may not start is simply one of many little insider knowledge bits you gather from being proactive about your vacation, but it's not a snafu of Disney's. And before I get told that's the problem with FP+, you have to know the secret handshake- no you don't. Just like you didn't have to know them before fp+. Nice to know? Sure. Need to know? Not so much. Just....like....always.

People read all the negative posts here about how awful FP+/MDE is. It's a disaster, vacations are destroyed, Disney doesn't care..blah, blah, blah...then the first little bump they hit, they automatically decide that must all be true and the hate they read is well earned. When if they hadn't been given that preconceived notion, they might not get so upset and rather than give up and be angry, try and figure out what's really going on.
